I'm a Tuesday guy, but I get why WWE won't do it. It's more stressful to have a live show and it could cut into Raw's rating being that close. Plus, some other stuff I'm sure.

We don't need 3 straight days of wrestling on PPV weeks.

I'd prefer it live on any day. With it being taped it's always going to be a show that doesn't matter and where nothing important happens because it's just going to get spoiled. Why waste a big return, a heel turn, a title change etc on Smackdown when it's not going to have as much of an impact?

I would say putting it live on Tuesday would force them to make SmackDown more important to justify the costs of another weekly, live show.

I prefer Live on Thursday.
So in a 7 day week, you have the following:
Sunday - PPV or House Show(s) Monday - Raw Tuesday - BREAK/Travel Day Wednesday - House Show(s) Thursday - Smackdown Friday - House Show(s) Saturday - House Show(s)
How hard is that? This way the talent isn't burned out by Thursdays. The Wednesday house shows can be close Smackdown on Thursday so they don't have to travel too much.

It's been made pretty obvious that a show being taped doesn't matter, even with the internet in existence, as long as the show is good. The issue is that Smackdown is the redheaded stepchild of WWE and has been since before the brand split even ended.

Live on Thursday is not going to happen any time soon if ever hence why I just asked the question I did. It would cost too much to delay a show two days every week due to production costs. The reason Smackdown takes place on Tuesday is because it happens the day right after Raw, so a lot of the setup is in the general area where the show will be happening. If you were to hold off two days you'd have to rent spaces for equipment and such.

Watching Raw live can be a chore. I don't necessarily think live equals must-see television any longer. If the overall writing/creative process is a continuing problem, then it doesn't really matter whether it's live or taped.

It doesn't matter because only a few here actually watch Smackdown every week. Live or taped, folks still will say they won't watch it.

Being live only mattered when Nitro and Raw were going head to head on Monday's. Today, the show is the same format every week, so being live is essentially pointless.

The schedule is set as is so the wrestles can have time off and to save cost on production travel.

If they aired Smackdown live on Thursday I guess their weekend could be Tuesday and Wednesday instead. However, then you'd have the increased production cost, which I'd imagine is honestly the bigger concern with Vince and the other higher ups.

Continuing to do the nothing matters on SmackDown thing means SmackDown continues to add nothing.

When they've done it live and made it Super it does less in the ratings then airing taped on Thursday,So there's really no reason to go live.
