Hulk Hogan did not become a break put star from No Holds Barred Zeus stole that film. And ironically Tiny Lister's body of work is far more impressive than Hogan's ever was.

Let's see if Daisy Ridley does anything after Star Wars. Hamill and Fisher both got stuck in an abyss after the originals. Fisher was in The Burbs, and did some writing, but her biggest obstacle was her personal demons and bipolar disorder. Hulk Hogan did not become a break put star from No Holds Barred Zeus stole that film. And ironically Tiny Lister's body of work is far more impressive than Hogan's ever was. Zeus didn't steal that film, Kurt Fuller stole the film, just like he steals a lot of the stuff he's in.

Remember all those comedy films David Spade starred in post-Farley? Senseless (actually a supporting role, but he did play the antagonist), Lost and Found, and Dickie Roberts all tanked big time, and Joe Dirt only became a cult hit due to the cable reruns. Kind of sad, as i was a big Spade fan.

Eric Bana was cast as the lead in a Pixar movie and a heavily funded comic book franchise big screen role with hot director. He was supposed to be the next Pitt, Cruise, etc.
While not a total failure, I don't ever hear anybody going "Ooooh I want to see what Bana's next movie is."

While I won't disagree with what you are saying. But I would not call the shark he voiced in Finding Nemo a lead character... He was not even the lead shark.

While we all know who he is from his musical endeavors, Gene Simmons makes the list for his roll as the main villain in Runaway. Which to be honest is a very fun movie to watch.

I stand corrected, however I do remember an article about him mentioning he had 2 big movies coming out in that year so I just assumed his role was bigger, and needless to say I haven't seen many articles about him since.

Brandon Routh. There were a lot of talks of the "Superman Curse" and if he'd break it. He did not and was out wandering for about a decade until he got the role of Atom and even that's on TV.

I thought Dana Carvey had an earlier attempt with "Clean Slate," which I thought was such an underrated movie. Also, Damon Wayans had a few other movies after "Mo' Money" where he was the lead, like "Major Payne," "Blankman" and "Bulletproof." He was also among the ensemble cast of "The Great White Hype." In relation to this thread, I would say John Cena in "The Marine," even though "12 Rounds" came out two and a half years after that and was released theatrically. Damon Wayans was also co-lead in The Last Boy Scout with Bruce Willis. Good movie.

He actually was getting praise for his work on Chuck in it's 3rd season. But once again, on TV.

Darn you for mentioning Atom by name...that kills my "he went on to be Iron Man" joke.

Eh not really. That was more of a "we have a contract to do this awful movie" thing.

Nothing horrible happened to him, so no the so-called "curse" didn't affect him. He's had a decent career with plenty of roles since, just because he hasn't been on the big screen since Scott Pilgrim doesn't mean he hasn't been successful. There's no such things as curses.

Jason Biggs comes to mind. After American Pie he was give 2 comedy lead roles(Loser and Boys and Girls)both bombed and Hollywood realized Jason Biggs is not a Box Office Comedy Leading Man. Mind you he is a talented guy who consistently gets work he is just not a put's ass in seats or command the screen type of guy. I don't know about that. I liked "Saving Silverman". Otherwise, what has he starred in recently?
