Someone got a pic of Becky at the HOF? Asking for a friend... This whole thread is Becky pics! But if you don't wanna go through 100+ pages, just check the latest page on the Divas Pics thread.

Why do they have to tell people to cheer? Shouldn't that come naturally? Maybe the time it takes for them to read the sign and start clapping distracts them from that awesome "Pa-Pa Shan-Go!clap clap clapclapclap" chant they wanted to start.

Hansen was before my time, but he seems like a class act judging from his speech last night.

Hansen still looked the same as 25 years ago. Him and Jim Ross still look like two of the toughest cowboys around.

I can't NOT mention Michael Hayes' Terry Gordy stories.

I just heard "Jive Soul Bro" in 2016 so I'm happy as a clam.

Class of 2017:
Headliner - Daniel Bryan or The Rock (based on striking while the iron is hot with "Thank you Bryan" or because its in Florida) Co-Headliner - Owen Hart or Davey Boy Smith (Either gets the Hart's involved which is always a big deal) Comic Mid Card - Honky Tonk Man (He has been invited before, Im not a fan but they want him in and he will be the cooky entertainment gimmick) Tag Team - Demolition (So overdue!) Big Man - Vader (I thought he would this year) Female - Miss Elizabeth (As speedy as Jackie's induction was a quick nod to Elizabeth is way overdue IMO) Old Timer - Ivan Koloff (He is still alive, do it now) Celebrity - Cyndi Lauper (Still a big name, she has to get in eventually)

If the rumors about Bryan trying to get out of his contract are true, you can probably forget a 2017 HOF induction. He'll be persona non grata for a while if that happens. Rock does make more sense anyway as it's FL.
Liz's family has not and probably never will sign off on her being in the HOF.
Last year or so Bret seemed to indicate Owen could go in, plus that DVD set (though Bret wasn't a fan of it, or even part of it??) came out - I'd like to think that stuff means whatever background issues (re: Martha) might be closer to being dealt with than ever.
Everything else is spot on. Regis (who I thought was going in this year?) would be a good celebrity choice as well; and again, given the age thing, should go in ASAP.

I am not sure on the Elizabeth thing because she has been in the last two 2K games as a manager. The WWE owns the Miss Elizabeth character and footage etc so they could put her in regardless of thier wishes but I guess thats unethical and there would be no one to accept it for her. However those rumours have circled for years but I am not sure how much truth there is too it, I think its more so the nature of her death than anything, it wasnt just drug related but Luger was impliacted in having a hand in it, he beat her up weeks before and it was all over the news including that 911 call. So maybe they have steered clear on that basis as its close to the Benoit incident, but she still needs to be in.
Why would Bryan want out of his contract? he would be getting paid still as an ambassador/legend.He would be foolish too. Its not like he needs to get out to wrestle elsewhere. Im not a fan of rushing young stars in anyways, but I can see WWE wanting too.
Yeah id be happy with Regis if Lauper cant do it.

Dude might just want a clean break from any wrestling obligations for a while, which seems to be what's happening now anyway. Given how emotional he was during his whole retirement process, it'd probably tear him up more to be so close to it all still, yet so far.

Yeah, wrestling has been his life for decades, and now he's retired, not by choice but because he was physically unable to continue. I'm not sure how accurate that report was I remember it being from a pretty newzy source but it's not far fetched to think he wants to break off completely.

He was pretty sad when talking about her death on WWE Confidential back when she died. And since Vince doesn't put people in the HOF without their say-so/involvement (he's quite old school about that - and it's the reason he never put Bruno in all those years Bruno didn't like him), he definitely wouldn't just put her in because he liked her - he'd REALLY need the family to sign off on it. Over WM week there was a thread here about him supposedly wanting to get out of the contract to go wrestle in Japan, and that this contract issue was why WWE cancelled the appreciation night for him at MSG a weekend or 2 ago and also removed him from Axxess & other WM festivities. Not sure how valid that report was; if anything, I figured he wasn't feeling well and that's why they pulled him.

Maybe I'm crazy for thinking this because in all likelyhood this will never happen but I think next year's Warrior award should go to a man who's been dealing with adversity for 16 years and has done so with a positive attitude. That man is Darren Drozdov. Even if his speech has to be done via satellite I would really like to see this.

It is not that Droz doesn't deserve it but those two did not exactly have kind things to say about each other years back. Decade later, circumstances and people change and all that jazz but that is a weird one.

I have never actually heard a bad word said about Elizabeth, male or female in the business. I thought Droz continued to work for WWE for a long time? Did they have a fall out?
