From time to time, I see Youtube compilations of infomercial outtakes or stupidity. They are usually of the "white people can't do anything!" variety.
Somehow this reminds me of another informercial I would see that ran in the 90's that was for some Power Ballads CD compilation where a dude PARACHUTES to a woman's doorstep, because she rush delivered for the CD. Does anyone know what this was? I can't find it online, but the more I think about it, the funnier I remember it being.

I think it was one of the Monster Ballads cd commercials. You know "Every bad boy has a soft side" I can only find a couple on youtube and one has a couple jumping out, but I'll bet money the original spot is what you're talking about.

Monster Ballads rings a bell. It just seems so random, the idea where you'd order rush delivery and have your CD delivered by some parachuter who looks like Fabio. I guess it's lost to the ether.

I remember the commercial , so does Youtube. Parachute isn't familiar though, I recall it just like this.

Some of the informercial stuff makes more sense with the knowledge that a lot of the products are actually made with the handicapped in mind. Unfortunately, that's a relatively tiny portion of the population. In order to make it in big numbers and be sustainable, you have to appeal to get non-handicapped people to buy them, too, and appeal to an interest.
Good example being the Snuggie. Novelty to someone who can walk, pretty goddamn convenient to someone in a wheelchair versus a typical robe.

It is in reference to in the OP, about informercials with the characters being shown as inept in order to convince you to buy the gadget. I guess I should have been clearer about that.
