I think I speak for all of the world when I say f*** cancer. I honestly sort of expected Bowie to outlive us all and in the end it would just be him walking around the deserted Earth and smiling knowing that he'd completed his mission. Instead, I have to snap into reality and be reminded that one of my favorite musicians, this guy who seemed anything but human, was sadly just human enough. I'm not a spiritual guy but I hope that we all get to join Bowie out in the stars someday.

I can't even come up with words to describe how I feel, and I think it's because then I'd have to acknowledge that he's gone. R.I.P.

We just laid Lemmy to rest yesterday, and here comes another kick in the balls of music fans. Was Weiland close enough to make it a death in 3s scenario? Honestly... Death is death, no matter how one may arbitrarily group it based on superstition.

2016 Officially Sucks...
Not only was his musical impact incredible, but he was one of my ALL TIME FAVORITE VILLAINS from Labyrinth... so it hits extra hard for me...

I had just finished listening to Blackstar. This was my favorite song on it. RIP

My Dad was fortunate enough to see him Live twice
He saw him during his Diamond Dogs Tour and was the last one to see the Diamond Dogs set before it was destroyed in a Car Accident on the way to the next venue, and he said it was absolutely incredible. And he also saw him during his Young Americans Tour.
It really is such a tragic loss...

I wish I had the same attachment to Bowie that a lot of you had, I just never really experienced him, not sure why. Sad to say, what I know him best for is Labryinth, Ziggy Stardust and doing the title track for Cool World. He will truly be missed. And, if it's not disrespectful... roll the video. youtu.be/ZvyNOg4jSRg

I have to go to sleep unless I start reading everything imaginable on Bowie. I saw this on Twitter and didn't know that this ever happened. David was such a fascinating person and artist

I never truly got into his music. Some tastes here & there (Under Pressure, Labyrinth, and of course Major Tom - Space Oddity! I'm sorry! Hopelessly ignorant though hopefully not for much longer! Sorry!) but nothing much beyond that. The new album intrigued me, though, especially since it was seemingly coming out of nowhere. And now we know why. Woke up to the FOX News breaking news clang & then Major Tom. No words were needed after that. The news was spoken. And now an hour and a half later I feel much worse than I expected, because I should've been onboard with Bowie before now. Got a lot of catching up to do now. Grateful I have a ton of stuff to listen to, regretting I wasn't "with it" enough to do so when he was still alive... RIP, sir.

It sucks he finally met his time, but 69 isn't bad. Always loved his duet with Freddie Mercury Under Pressure. R.I.P. to a music legend.

Well, it certainly explains a lot of the thematics from Blackstar, but one almost gets the sense he had the diagnosis since even The Next Day.
It's gonna be hard to listen to things the next few days...
RIP

The man lived the life he wanted to live, and lived to quite an impressive age. He influenced many, and created memories that'll never be forgotten.
R.I.P Bowie.
p.s he was probably an alien.
