I only heard this version of Simon and Garfunkel's classic today. At first, I was uncertain about Disturbed covering a Simon & Garfunkel song, but holy shit. This is powerful. I love it.

That's up there with Johnny Cash's rendition of Hurt as one of my favorite covers of a song.

Here is the video. Disturbed has been my favorite band for over a decade now, so glad they are back.

David Draiman is amazing. I hope they come back around my area on tour soon. I've seen Shinedown for the third time a couple of months ago, it's Disturbed's time again.

Disturbed was always a really good band that was a victim of its time. It got lumped in with a really bad sub-genre.

Holy crap. That was amazing. I mean on paper it looks like a disaster waiting to happen. You have Disturbed, a band that while talented as all hell does mostly songs with an aggressive edge to them covering a f***ing Simon and Garfunkel song. There couldn't be any further polar opposites in musical styles. The two groups are basically the two extremes on the sliding scale of musical style......and it f***ing worked!!!!! That was beautiful!

I liked that they didn't do the usual "ironic" cover thing and stayed more true to the original.

I guarantee you that they heard that "Neon God" line and just HAD to cover it. That line is entirely up Disturbed's alley and even though the song is a classic, it's perfect for them.
God, what a cover.

I kept waiting for something awesome to happen one way or another but in the end it was just a kind of a generic cover. I didn't feel anything emotionally while listening to it and to me it was just an inferior rendition of one of the great songs of our time.

Ya I love Disturbed but there is nothing remarkable about this. Its well sung, but in my mind the point of a cover is to reimagine it, or put your own spin on it. Their versions of Shout and Land of Confusion achieved this, but this just sounds like Draiman singing Sound of Silence.

Not a fan. Probably because I hate Disturbed, think that Draiman is a douche, can't stand his tired sound effects and feel that they always shoehorn a cover of a classic song in with the rest of their stuff.
I wanted to find something positive about it, but no. I guess my bias against the band runs too deep.

Stunning cover. I had a dream about this song last night, had to play it a bunch today.

If anything I think it's overdone a bit nowadays with the plethora of pop songs done heavy or as emotional ballads. I do like what Disturbed did with their other covers but in this case I think more traditional was the right move.

I didn't care for this one too much. It was all right, but kind of overdone, production wise, I thought. No where close to S&G. And this is coming from someone who prefers Disturbed's version of Land of Confusion to the original and listens to it quite often.
