WWE.com says he's going to Pittsburgh on Friday... for an autograph signing. He'll probably see Maroon whilst he's there, but way to leave out a key part of the story.

All I can say is that if they clear him to wrestle but have no intention of him appearing in and winning the Rumble, then they better keep him being cleared the biggest secret since what we really found during the moon landing. If the fans get even the remotest idea that Bryan might be there and he doesn't show up or doesn't win, we could get another near riot.

It's all guesswork really. I imagine the amount of people who know what's happening/what's going to happen with Daniel Bryan's WWE career can be counted on one hand. Personally, I think if his in-ring career was over they would have announced it by now, but if he's not back by the night after Wrestlemania then he probably won't be back. I think they're still waiting to see how the lawsuits shake out.

A caller from Pittsburgh on Busted Open today said he was booked for some convention in Pittsburgh on Saturday and Sunday, but they are replacing him with Seth Rollins.

He's a time lord, not a robot. Can Robots not be Time Lords?
Time Lord is a title, not a race.
You sayin' that those types of people can't be Time Lords?
Who're you? Triple H? A robot? A robot Triple H?
I'm onto you, sucka.
I would pay UPWARDS OF FIVE WHOLE AMERICAN DOLLARS for a TV series where Time Lord Triple H travels across space and time to bury everyone.

I hope if he comes back he wears that old rick steiner head gear I hope he comes back, but it's not him. It's Norman Smiley. And absolutely everyone onscreen treats him as if he was Bryan all the time.

I'm expecting a Bryan chant at the Rumble that's for sure.

I'm a big Bryan fan. Dude always entertains and made the transition from indies to WWE with no problems (except for WWE Creative not wanting to make money off him...but anyway....), but really, at this point in WWE's landscape Bryan wouldn't really have a place, unless he's happy being at that Ziggler spot (not that there's anything wrong with that). He will never come back as anything close to what he was before he got injured the first time because WWE just clearly has no real faith/stock in him. So, that being said, even if he came back, I can guarantee he'll basically be someone's whipping boy or basically be used to make Roman look good. Bryan has had his time and built his legacy, even if a lot of his fans want more. Which isn't wrong, it's natural to want your favorites to do well. But WM30 is a career zenith 99% of the people in the business would kill to have. Two excellent matches in one night, an amazing story (forget how much of it was planned or not planned and just go off what we saw play out, okay?), including one match that I consider a five star classic and an all-time great WWE match in his bout against Triple H, then winning the company's top title later that same night in front of his family and adoring fans, including Connor. If you told "American Dragon" Bryan Danielson that in 2005 he'd probably laugh in your face. What came after was absolutely unfortunate, but also probably for the best, considering he would have been the one that got murdered at Summerslam and as much as I love the guy that wouldn't do nearly as much for Brock as doing it to Super Cena did. All I realistically want at this point is an extended feud between him and Nakamura for the I-C title. That'd be incredible.

Rumble ends. Roman stands tall. Suddenly, the "Balor Club" runs in. They attack Roman, they have him down.
Bryan's music hits. The crowd goes insane. Bryan's here to save the day. He barrels down to the ring, where Styles, Gallows, Anderson and Balor have Reigns.
And Daniel Bryan kicks Roman's face off.
Daniel Bryan turns heel.

The only reason I think Daniel Bryan may be in the Royal Rumble is because I wouldn't put it past this company to make the same mistake three years in a row.

I got a question on this and guess this thread is as good as any, what if Bryan returns and doesn't win but there is actual reason behind it? Let's say buzzer goes off, his music hits and he charges the ring targeting Dolph Ziggler (or Sheamus or whoever). He beats on Ziggler around the ring and they go over the ropes together clearly setting up something big between them. Does that get or even deserve the same response as the last two years?

If you want him booed, have him win the title with the help of Steph and Hunter. Make him the new corporate champ, he wanted to get cleared at all costs, they wanted someone that would play ball and make money. Hell, eventually he can shit on the fans for being the cause of his problems and then starting "injuring" their favorites for revenge.

As long as it was someone worth feuding with, I wouldn't be angry about it at all. If he dumps out Sheamus that way people will absolutely be unhappy with it, myself probably included because as good as the matches they've had have been I just cannot bring myself to be interested in anything he does. It's a shame, but that's how I feel. But as an idea I think it's perfectly fine, sure. It works.
