Been going thru the show on Season 3 now still holds up so far. The season 1 DVD had some season 10 episodes I still hate Lord Dregg his character sucks. I remember now why I gave the show up. I can see why people gave up on the show and I doubt the toy sales were any better. Also saw the Turtle Power Doc. I can see why people hated it they skip over too much stuff. Was just a cash in on the 2014 movie.
Heres a 10 hour version of the 87 Theme
Now on the movie I rank them as
1. 1990 2. 2014 3. 1991 4. 1993

Hey, me too. I've been watching season 3 of the old show and I've been playing the old beat-em ups.

"Go swipe a ring and kidnap a preacher" is one of my favourite lines from season three. Show really should have ended at that point. Over in the UK, the BBC would get to that season and wouldn't play anymore after the finale (the rest aired on SKY), they wouldn't air season one either oddly enough. Censorship was murder...we even called it Hero Turtles over here.

Loved the original show as I grew up on it, but the 2003 series was better. The current comic is fantastic too. The current crossover with Batman is the best crossover I've read in years.
Haven't seen the new CGI Nick cartoon yet.

I've been re-reading the old Mirage comics lately. The first 20 or so are gold. I also watched the 1990 movie for the first time in about 20 years and was surprised not only by how well it holds up, but also how faithful it is to the comics. On the new show I'm so behind Watching the 87 show I wonder what the toys go for now wouldn't mind collecting them again I sold a bunch on Ebay last year and didn't get as much as I thought I would. Between the four original turtles, Shredder, Splinter, April, Bebop, Rocksteady, and about 15 or so random guys like Genghis Frog and Mutagen Man, I made about $70 in total.

I honestly think the Nick TMNT show might be my favorite animated Turtles incarnation. It walks the tightrope well between the more intense and dramatic stories you'd see in the 2003 Fox Kids show and the comedy of the 1987 Wolf-Swenson version.

Mind you, look at "Insane in the Membrane" from the 2003 series. That didn't even air in the US for nearly 10 years.

It's just a very well made show.

They really did peak in '92 with the Movie Star Turtles. Those were a fantastic achievement, and it was all downhill from there. But still, there was at least effort going into the stuff after that, they were just a bunch of unwanted variants. I was collecting the currently action figures that launched in 2012, but I stopped last year. They're phoning it in to the point where they're releasing shit that looks like Happy Meal toys and charging $10.

I'm surprised they didn't make a figure of Bugman. He seemed like he would have been a perfect fit
