Is anyone surprised? There's no way in f*** he's getting cleared while the Vito suit is still going on.

When we were all complaining about stuff during the great Bryan run of 2013/14, who would have thought that the ones to finally take him out would have been f***ing Luther Reigns and Big Vito?

I don't know how to feel about the idea of Bryan coming back anymore. Of course I want him to return if he's healthy enough to do so, but I highly doubt they'd book him at the level he was at when he got injured. We'll likely never see Bryan have a WWE WHC title run, and I don't even know about an IC title run.
Then again, releasing or keeping Bryan at home does nobody any good either.

At this point, ditch the Authority, stick Bryan in as the Mick Foley Commissioner esque babyface figure, and let him have some fun interacting with the talent till his contract's done.
That or go with my WWE Network show about him and Miz traveling the world scouting for talent while trying to survive each other.

The problem is Bryan has denied any type of other offer they've given him. He's been given on-air authority roles, backstage stuff, he just refuses to do it unless he wrestles. He's stated that while he wouldn't mind a trainer position in the future, right now in his life that's just not it for him. If Bryan wanted to he could be the face version of the Authority but he just doesn't want it.

The cynic in me wonders if with Reigns' "mixed reactions", they are scared of a Bryan return messing with their plans again.

I honestly hope Vito and whoever else involved in the lawsuit never see a dime.

Is anyone surprised? There's no way in f*** he's getting cleared while the Vito suit is still going on. Exactly! How and why people are shocked and angered over WWE protecting themselves in the face of million in lawsuits over not taking concussions seriously and as much as people want to deny it, protecting Bryan from himself by not clearing him I do not understand. Yes, I want to see Bryan wrestle, I want Bryan/Nakamura, Bryan/Zayn, Bryan/Joe and Bryan/Owens to name a few but I don't want Bryan ending up like Mick Foley or worse and that is the fear that comes with everything Bryan has suffered. He can be cleared of HAVING a concussion, he cannot be cleared of having CTE though. At this point, ditch the Authority, stick Bryan in as the Mick Foley Commissioner esque babyface figure, and let him have some fun interacting with the talent till his contract's done. That or go with my WWE Network show about him and Miz traveling the world scouting for talent while trying to survive each other. They've tried! Bryan wants to wrestle, nothing else.

I also said the cynic in me, but yeah let's blow it up.

While I hope I'm wrong, I believe Daniel Bryan has wrestled his final match in WWE.

Just f***ing release the guy and let him do indy dates, then. He wants to wrestle. Let him. And then if something happens on the independents, people get pissed at WWE for not protecting Bryan from himself. People also hijack every show because Bryan was released. And if he's on the sidelines for WWE, he's not making another company money, it's about that bottom line.
