Ranked by age, every main-eventer in Wrestlemania history. For Main Event I mean the last match.
I'm putting Triple H vs Reigns in there, to see where they will rank if, as expected they face off at 32.
Triple H (XXXII) - 46
Batista (XXX) - 45
HBK (XXVI) - 44
Undertaker (XXVI) - 43
Slaughter - 42
HBK (XXIII) - 41 Undertaker (XXIV) - 41
The Rock (XXIX) - 40 Andre - 40
Triple H (XXV) - 39 The Rock (XVIII) - 39
Hogan (VIII) - 38 Hart (XII) - 38 HBK (XX) - 38
Hogan (VII) - 37 Lesnar (XXXI) - 37
Triple H (XXII) - 36 Hart (X) - 36 Benoit - 36 Hogan (VI) - 36 Taylor - 36 Austin (XVII) - 36 Sid (XIII) - 36 Batista (XXI) - 36
Cena (XXIX) - 35 Orndorff - 35 Savage (IV) - 35 Triple H (XXI) - 35 Hart (IX) - 35
Hogan (III) - 34 Austin (XV) - 34 Foley - 34 Triple H (XX) - 34 Orton (XXX) - 34 Cena (XXVIII) - 34 Angle - 34 Dibiase - 34 Edge - 34
Cena (XXVII) - 33 Bigelow - 33 Mr T - 33 Hogan (II) - 33 Austin (XIV) - 33
Triple H (XVIII) - 32 Hogan (I) - 32 HBK (XIV) - 32 Bryan - 32
Jericho - 31 Sid (VIII) - 31 Undertaker (XIII) - 31
Piper - 30 Warrior - 30 HBK (XII) - 30 Triple H (XVI) - 30 Miz - 30 Reigns (XXXII) - 30
Cena (XXIII) - 29 Reigns (XXXI) - 29 Orton (XXV) - 29
Bundy - 28 Cena (XXII) - 28 The Rock (XVII) - 28 Big Show - 28
Yoko - (X) - 27 The Rock (XVI) - 27
Yoko (IX) - 26 The Rock (XV) - 26
Lesnar (XIX) - 25
Oldest Match in WM Main Event History (Taking the oldest two competitors in multi-man matches):
Taker vs HBK (26) - 87yrs old
Youngest:
Angle vs Lesnar - 59yrs old
Triple H will be the oldest wrestler in a Wrestlemania Main Event if, as expected, he is in the last match at 32. The current record is Batista at WM XXX (45).

..is this supposed to be angering?
I know familiarity can breed contempt, fresh faces and all that, but people do still like guys like Undertaker and Triple H. Shouldn't we admire them for their longevity and commitment to pro wrestling?
Does everything have to be "what have you done for me lately" always?

Was thinking about it and wanted to find out who were the oldest and youngest.

Another interesting thing is if we're talking about FIRST Main Event then Slaughter is a huge outlier at 42, and we all know what a disaster that angle was. Andre was 40 but it's fair to say if Mania had been around earlier he would have got it at a younger age. Then you have to go all the way to Benoit and Batista at 36 to find the next oldest debutants.
I would say based on history anybody on the roster over the age of 36 that hasn't already main evented is unlikely to make it. I don't know who that rules out currently.

Yeah that's one of the interesting things in addition to a handy reminder of what age a wrestler typically peaks. As a fandom we do have a tendency to forget that at times.

Yeah time has probably run out on Barrett, Del Rio and Sheamus in terms of the big one. My prediction for next wrestler to break the '36' barrier when first main eventing Mania is CM Punk, who will be 39/40 at WM 34 and WM 35.

I always forget how young Yoko was. I wish he would've taken better care of himself.
Cool stats. I love to see breakdowns like this.

Very cool. I'm sure this took a while to put together; nice work. Ignore the haters.

How old was Hogan when he faced Rock at WM18? It could be argued that their match was the Main Event or at least Co-Main Event.
Edit: I see that you said "Last match". Guess that makes my point null and void.

Guess that makes my point null and void. Good point. Hogan was 48 when he faced The Rock. Many argue that should have been the last match, although it is worth pointing out that the only other two times they did that was at WM 8 and WM 11, and both times it was an unmitigated critical disaster. That (and Triple H's influence over his own booking) kept the lacklustre and terribly bloke Triple H vs Jericho match on top. Also, Flair was 43 when Hogan stole the WM Main Event from him in 1992. Also I believe Hart vs McMahon at 117yrs old is the oldest match in WM history. Hart was 53 and VKM was 64. I would say that that will never be beaten as Vince's wrestling days are over.
