Man, I want Santa Maria to beat Kotoka. I know it won't happen, because....c'mon, it won't happen, but f***, a man can dream.

Why are the Jimmyz the Sumoz for the second night? Don Fujii used to train as a Sumo and it was also his first gimmick in Toryumon when he was known as Sumo Fujii. During last years Summer Adventure Tag League he asked Ryo Saito to team with him, and they both adopted a throwback Sumo gimmick to Fujii's early days including Saito dropping the Jimmy name for Sumo instead. After the tournament, Fujii asked the Jimmyz to join up with him in a big one night series of matches against VerserK under the same Sumo gimmick which replaced their Jimmyz names for that night. Since then they're appeared under the Sumoz gimmick once more, not including this next show. It's basically just a fun thing they bring out every now and then, usually when they're working with Fujii. They also do a traditional Sumo style entrance ceremony before their matches.

Additionally, Kzy said to Yoshino he'll give his decision on if he is joining Monster Express at the Korakuen Hall show next week. It smells heavily of a swerve but I hope it isn't. Face Kzy is a lot of fun.

March 2nd Korakuen results.Main notes from the show: - Masaaki Mochizuki suggested an M2K reunion with Susumu, K-ness and Kanda for the next Korakuen show. But instead he'll be a Jimmy for one night when Jimmu Masaaki teams with the other three to face VerserK's Shingo Tagaki, YAMATO, Cyber Kong and Naoki Tanizaki. - Kzy declined a spot in MONSTER EXPRESS. He wanted to try teaming up with some other people before he committed to a unit. - Punch Tominaga will put his career on the line next month (likely at Korakuen) in a six man tag with Eita and new OVER GENERATION member Dragon Kid against VerserK's Naruki Doi, Mondai Ryu and Kotoka.

An amendment to the last part - Dragon Kid hasn't officially joined Over Generation, he is just teaming with Eita & Punch in the match at the next Korakuen Hall show (Doi was very clear in that the match happens at the Korakuen). Doi - who apparently has supreme power in Dragon Gate - barred CIMA & Gamma from helping out their unitmates hence Dragon Kid stepping up to the oche in a sense.

YES! I'm not super confident in her beating Tanizaki, who, by the way, has become one of my fave DG guys since his heel turn.

I haven't followed the company since the days when they would co promote with ROH, and the early days of DGUSA. The DGUSA DVDs would always have the biggest recent Dragon Gate matches as bonus features.
So, as someone who hasn't followed the company in four to five years, can someone tell me how to watch? Do they have a weekly show, a kinda random schedule like New Japan, a web show, or what?
And is their an English commentary option for any of it?

They have monthy shows that you can stream on Nico Nico which are only up for a very short period of time, and have limited number of views upon purchase if you don't shell out for a premium account. You can find older stuff on openthedragongate.com, and I'll post some of the newer matches that come up that stand out. Beyond that Real Hero has a rutube channel which uploads matches. You might also have some luck finding stuff on Dailymotion, but Gaora (their parent company) is pretty good at getting this stuff down quick. As for english commentary, there isn't any at the moment. The closest thing they have available is their Prime Zone show which is a short monthly show they have in this tiny studio which offers English subtitles. It's a fun show, and they have some pretty entertaining skits. But none of the stuff that happens is ever important.

For example, you listed a few posts up some shows currently happening. Would these be incorporated into that monthly show, or would I need to separately seek out big shows like this?

Most of the big stuff is put up on Nico Nico. But there are a couple of shows, like this weekends Champion Gate shows, which are taped specifically for Japanese TV and only air a few weeks later, after which they're usually put up on rutube or dailymotion by guys like Real Hero. For shows like that I'll usually try and post the big stuff here as it comes up.

6/3 Champion Gate in Osaka results.Main notes from the show: - MONSTER EXPRESS' T-Hawk and Big R Shimizu defeated VerserK's Naruki Doi and YAMATO for the Open the Twin Gate Title ending the latter's record breaking reign. - Shingo Takagi defeated Jimmy Susumu winning the Open the Dream Gate title for a record making 4th time. He won clean and as a result of the victory, retains his spot in VerserK. His next challenger is set to be Ryo 'Jimmy' Saito who will face him in Wakayama for Memorial Gate on March 21st. - Also DG payed respect to Hayabusa over the weekend starting with a moment of silence, and playing his music to start the show on night 1. As well as Dragon Kid delivering a speech and finising his match with the Firebird Splash.

Oh, shit yeah, it just hit me, Hayabusa was a pretty big cog in the Dragon Gate machine backstage, wasn't he? On a happier note, good for T-Hawk and Shimizu. Great to see the two young guys climbing the ladder.
