7/7 Korakuen resultsIt was a fun show, but not as good as some of the recent ones. There wasn't really any high level blow away matches this time out, but there's still a few things to note. - The opening match had a funny spot where Arai-Ken, Kanda and Kness all channeled their inner Don Fujii and tried to apply Saito's complex Cycling Yahoo submission hold to the other team to absolutely no success. - Eita was is full dick mode during his tag match. Aside from not releasing his Numero Uno submission on Maria after she'd submitted, he was notable hitting a lot harder than anyone else in the match. His upcoming Brave Gate title match at Kobe World will be his 5th shot at getting that belt. So it'll be interesting to see if he keeps up and honest match against Maria. Also his actions are creating a rift between him and Lindaman, who is arguably the OG standout young talent. - Peter Kaasa is absurd. No one that bulky should be able to do what he does. Here is the full card for Kobe World Festival 2016: 07/24/2016 Hyogo, Kobe World Kinen Hall Pro Wrestling Festival in Kobe1. I watched the 7/7 show yesterday and enjoyed it. The main event was great fun and overall, it was an easy watch. Tozawa and Lindaman advertising the Wonder Core 2 also provided me with a ton of laughs, especially when Tozawa fell over it.
I started watching the 11/6 King Of Gate show a little earlier. Eita vs Tozawa was dope.

In addition to everything else that's happening this week in the pro wrestling world, Dragon Gate will celebrate their 12th annual Kobe World Hall Pro Wrestling Festival. Damn, they got Funaki and Fujiwara? That's dope. Very excited for that one.
Pulling for Eita in the Dream Gate match. I like Yosuke enough but I'm pretty much over the gimmick at this point.
Shingo vs Yamato will wreck.

Uh oh, some good old fashioned drama has reared its ugly head starting from this tweet. Loose translation: "The Toyohashi show was a success. We're having post tournament lunch. Hey Linda, do you see this [implying intimacy between YAMATO and Yosuke]?"Lindaman responded on his own blog. Loose translation: "If you look at this photo, YAMATO and Maria are really getting along. Also he made point to make a provocative statement to me. I don't know why Maria is so flustered. I will confront her about it tomorrow."

Is Yosuke♡Santa Maria legit or is it just a gimmick? Like, is Yosuke actually a woman? If that's what you were asking, no, he's a guy named Yosuke Watanabe who started dressing like a woman a few years ago. If you're wondering whether or not he always dresses and acts like a woman, no, it doesn't seem like it.

Here's a Facebook post from Jae of iHeartDG.com
Also during last nights show, Lindaman accidentally dropkicked Eita leading to the latter being pinned in a six man tag. Eita berated Lindaman on being distracted by Maria and questioned his loyalty to OVER GENERATION. Lindaman in response questioned whether Eita's anger at their relationship was due to jealousy.
It's worth noting that when Yosuke Watanabe first transitioned into being Yosuke♡Santa Maria, a driving factor behind her accepting herself and aligning with the Millennials was due to her crush on Eita.
I don't say this as a slight to anything else going on in DG, but this conflicted Lindaman angle is the thing I'm most interested in at the moment.

If you're wondering whether or not he always dresses and acts like a woman, no, it doesn't seem like it. So Watanabe isn't actually transgendered and it's just a "gay" gimmick like Goldust or Adrian Street? Just a gimmick, he's still a man away from the ring.

Kobe World Festival Results: https://www.instagram.com/p/BIPJzLGBWpL 1) VerserK def OVER GENERATION when Kong pinned Yamamura (I think) with the Cyber Bomb. 2) Team Ichikawa def Team Jimmyz when Shimizu pinned K-ness with the Shot Put Slam. - Futa Nakamura looks great physique wise. Plus he proved notable strength by deadlifting Shimizu into a gutwrench suplex. I can see body mark CIMA getting behind him in the near future. - Funny moment in the match where U-T had Horiguchi in an abdominal stretch. Saito ran in to yell in Horiguchi's face for encouragement before heading back out to further motivate him with an 'H.A.Gee.Mee.' chant. 3) El Lindaman (accompanied by Yosuke♡Santa Maria) def Jimmy Kanda with the Locomotion German Suplex. 4) Mochizuki/Fujiwara def Fujii/Funaki when Fujiwara tapped Fujii with the Fujiwara Armbar. 5) Eita def Maria (accompanied by El Lindaman) with the Numero Uno to win the Open the Brave Gate Title. 6) Jimmyz def VerserK to retain the Open the Twin Gate Titles when Susumu pinned Doi with the Jumbo no Kachi!-gatame. - During the match, Doi and YASSHI brought out a pair of scissors and cut off a chuck of Kagetora's beard and hair. 7) MONSTER EXPRESS def OVER GENERATION, and TRIBE VANGUARD to retain the Open the Triangle Gate Titles. - Peter Kaasa pinned Kzy with the Kaasa Tornado II to eliminate TV - Akira Tozawa pinned Dragon Kid with the delayed Package German Suplex to eliminate OG 8) YAMATO def Shingo Takagi with the Gallaria to win the Open the Dream Gate Title.

Fun show tonight. I recommend the final 4 matches, especially the Twin Gate, which exceeded my expectations, and the Triangle Gate matches. The Dream Gate match was good, but also fell slightly to the usual DG PPV title match trappings (i.e. long match, with a slow start), and the Brave Gate match was an exciting sprint.
The legends tag match was interesting. I can't say I was entirely comfortable watching a 60 something year old Fujiwara stumble around the ring, looking like his knee would buckle any mnute. But it was fun enough for what it was.
The opening three matches were all pretty short. But there wasn't anything bad either.
All in all thumbs up for the show.

So, YAMATO has the Dream Gate again, how long until he goes full rudo again? I wouldn't expect it anytime soon. His last face run lasted about 6 years. Plus he's more important as a top face. Outside of Yoshino, they currently don't have a lot of top tier faces beyond the veterans.

I wish to god they'd hurry up and get T-Hawk to that level before somebody realizes how good he is and scoops him up.
