Honestly, considering how... not svelte Axl has been the last few years, you could do this guy up with a wig and wardrobe and he'd definitely out-Axl Axl at least from a singing point of view.

Honestly, probably better than Axl himself is these days. Probably? There's no doubt in my mind that the dude out-Axls Axl today. That's not a knock on Axl Rose, but the fact is that his voice isn't nearly as strong as it used to be. Studio magic does help a lot. Axl Rose sounds nearly identical to the way he sounded in the 90s on the last studio album. (With all those years in production, you'd expect everything from the vocals to the instruments to sound top notch, and they do. The album has some of the best production you'll ever hear, and it isn't a victim to 'Loudness War.')
