Any idea if the flying headbutt contributed to Bam Bam Bigelow's death? On an unrelated note, I'm just now noticing how much Bryan resembled Jim Henson. yeah... resembled. <_< >_>

A quick check of Wikipedia says that Bam Bam had drug related heart problems. I can't imagine his brain looking too great, either, though. Dude took a bunch of blows to the noggin.

Apparently Bryan's retirement is getting the most mainstream attention out of every wrestling retirement in history, wow.
Also Meltzer said that Bryan's going to remain under contract and to expect other character appearances. Sounds like he might get on a Legends when he's done with his current contract which is in 2 1/2 years.

I can see the authority coming to an end after Seth Rollins returns as a face - reunites the shield to take down the HHH and crew . It all ends with Daniel as the new GM of raw ,

The Flying Headbutt isn't even a good move. It looks ten times shitter than just a normal splash. I think it varies. Typically, looks kind of shitty and non-impactful. Something like Benoit's looked like magic.

I needed time to figure what I would write for a proper post on this whole entire thing. It took time to assemble thoughts of his whole career and tracing back to when I first found out about him in 2007/2008 in an online music video tribute that I think came from the incredible wrestling tributes site TheMVZone. Bryan keeps on using the word gratitude, and it is certainly echod at my end being a fan of his as well As some of you may know by now I was fortunate enough to have spent my life savings given to me by my Grandma who passed away many years ago to go to WM 31 on the California Dreaming package, my first ever WM (it won't be my last). That money was given to me, my sister and my cousins to use as what would make us most happy and that was the thing that she most wanted us to do with the money. My sister spent it on investing in a house, car etc but for me it had always been WM (like it probably is for many/if not all here). Through the top WM package I had a front row seat to WM/HOF and second row for Raw, a winery visit with Flair and Slaughter, exclusive meet and greet with Barrett/Russev and two Platinum VIP Axxess tickets for HHH and Bryan. That's the backstory anyway Despite it being so fleeting (understandably so considering they need to get through thousands and thousands of fans) meeting Bryan I have never met anyone with such a kind and welcoming demeanour, despite the many pressures that come with the job. I just remember thanking him for everything that he had done and he was even more genuine and pleased than I thought he would be. He somehow exceeded my expectations of how nice he would be, and I knew from all the interviews I watched of him over the years how kind he was. The smile never left his face at Axxess. Genuine is truly a word that I try not to throw around lightly, and he personifies that. In his mind he is one of us and we are viewed in as much admiration as we give him. It's astonishing really, how good of a person he is nevermind his talents and the fact that he is an artist of his craft both in the drama/physical part of the act. To think that I was there for his last Mania, his final championship win, an incredible ladder match (my first ever gimmick match live) and in my book the classic he had with Ziggler the next time on Raw. You can see my as the first one who jumps at the knee that defeated Cena (in the dark shirt and light colourful quiff). Needless to say after years of watching him on a screen it was an honour to finally see him perform live two times, needless to say seeing him live was an experience in itself. I felt very lucky and like a weight had been lifted off my back coming back from my dream holiday. It was the number 1 thing I wanted to do in life and I did it (now next on the list I need to do Rev Pro, which I am doing in April. PWG, ROH and Wrestlekingdom). And the fact that it was Bryans last Mania has made it even more important (to me), nevermind I met one of my heroes and he surpassed my expectations (same with AJ/Cesaro/Flair/HHH/Barrett). Speaking from an overall point of view time will only help his longevity. Yes there was missed opportunities on WWEs part for matches that should have happened and didn't but if you want to talk about a body of work that is practically perfect from start to finish this is the career. The countless classics in ROH/PWG especially ROH (as we all know there are so damn many, his god damn fun matches in Chikara, how he showed a new game to work after coming back from his NOAH/NJPW trips and THEN he goes to WWE where You can define a character/persona/personality an evolution of Daniel Bryan over time throughout his career. "Rookie", Miz/Cole feud, Nexus, Return at SS/Surprise Partner, Underdog midcard US/IC Champ runs, WHC Dick Boyfriend persona, Team Hell No, 'the weak link', Vs Shield, Winning the WWE Championship, The Yes Movement SS to WM on. There are clear definable eras and transitions of his overall character and name as Daniel Bryan throughout his tenure in the company. Everything moved seamlessly as a character. To use my media degree for a second , we had a full resolution and the new equilibrium was established rectifying itself in Cole/Bryan. It came full circle, from the moment Bryan stepped foot onto NXT and Cole saying "he does not have what it took to be here" to him saying "I Love You Kid". "You need the best person for this job. And the best person for THIS JOB!...IS ME!" Is a promo he did once he got eliminated from NXT, and I don't ever think a clear more profound and right statement or promo has been said since HBK's "I will give you a show like You have never ever seen before....Why?....Because I can!" And finally you add all the classics he had in WWE: vs Cena/Punk/Shield/Ziggler at Bragging Rights/Miz/Sheamus/HHH/Cesaro/Rollins. It is the perfect career. Anyway this is going on longer than I thought it would so I am going to leave this on probably the happiest time of my life with Bryan at Axxess {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} Oh and HOF2016 Headliner YES! \_0_/ YES! \_0_/ YES! \_0_/ YES! \_0_/ YES! \_0_/

Think $2,000,000 can last him 31 years?

I think it's awesome that his last match was him as IC Champ teaming with US Champ John Cena vs Cesaro and Kidd the tag champs.

I wasn't too broken up. Today, I'm watching some segments on the DB Collection.
Man, that match where he kicks the shit out of Bray in the cage, then that #OccupyRaw...I got the feels hit hard.
I'm all for making him a GM of the fans. It has to end for the Authority. Nobody would be better.
I actually would like that.

Considering that the Authority started because Bryan got screwed over, there really is no better guy to help end them forever. Yes, even if the result that leads to it is a Roman Reigns win over Trips at WM 32.
