Curse the character limit in the subject line...
RAW is live tonight from Detroit, and following the events of Fastlane, we're now officially on the six week road to WrestleMania XXXII on April 3rd in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area.
We have our main event set - WWE World Heavyweight Champion (and COO) Triple H will defend his championship at AT&T Stadium against Roman Reigns, as Reigns defeated Brock Lesnar and Dean Ambrose to earn the spot. As far as their rivalry goes, logic is kind of warped, as it was Reigns who brutally attacked Hunter at the TLC PPV, and then HHH made his heroic return at the Royal Rumble, eliminating Reigns and eventually taking his title. The six week bid to get the fans on Reigns' side starts now.
Tonight sees the presentation of the first ever Vincent J. McMahon Legacy of Excellence Award (hence the limited attempt at the thread title) - an award so prestigious (supposedly) that the McMahon family felt that no-one has deserved the honour, until now. Odds that this award somehow leaves the McMahons are slim, but find out who gets it tonight.
AJ Styles won his series with Chris Jericho last night at Fastlane - with the Calf Crusher following Jericho kicking out of the Styles Clash. With this issue behind him, Styles has his sights set elsewhere, and Kevin Owens, who saw off Dolph Ziggler to retain the Intercontinental Title, sent out a tweet alluding to a future collision between himself and Styles. Will #KOMania run through The Phenomenal One?
The Titans prevailed over "The Gods" of the Wyatt Family, so much so that the rumoured plans of Bray Wyatt facing Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania have apparently been shelved. Is this issue over, or will Braun Strowman and the gang take matters further with Big Show, Kane and Ryback?
Charlotte got past an emotionally-charged Brie Bella to retain the Divas Championship, and if there were to be any clues regarding her opponent for WrestleMania, then Becky Lynch and Sasha Banks muddied those, as they earned dual submission victories over Team B.A.D. - will Becky and Sasha have to battle over who goes on to face Charlotte, or will it end up as a Triple Threat?
All this, plus the new issue between The New Day and the League of Nations, the continued failed efforts by Goldust to secure R-Truth as a tag team partner, what's next for Kalisto as US Champion... and will we find out who this outside wrestler is who's supposed to face The Undertaker? Find out from 8/7c on USA!
