Was listening to Meltzer and Alvarez, I think. They mentioned that WWE hasn't contacted Goldberg for any kind of match.
So this begs the question: The f*** did they turn Ryback into a literal Goldberg clone for?
It made sense if you were going to have Ryback be a heel that's angry at the Goldberg chants, and claim he's better than Goldberg ever was. Or some shit like that.
But they did it for no apparent reason.
Nothing in this company is done for a reason, seemingly. It's all just, "Dunno, just did!"
I feel like my brain is collapsing in on itself.

Ryback himself may have wanted to change his attire up since he's looked the same since he debuted as the character.
Also He was getting very cartoonish before changing it up with all of his different accessories that didn't match.

I'd assumed the Goldberg thing. Still do.

His look was, honestly, getting pretty cluttered. And he may have changed it for comfort reasons; I want to say Jericho mentioned that one of the reasons he changed to short trunks (other than the heel turn) was that it was simply more comfortable than long tights.

In my opinion, it's because he was covering up this freakish body of his. Regardless of his ring work, the guy has a head-turning physique.

I'm not buying the "his look was getting cluttered" argument when he still comes to the ring wearing every piece of merch he has.

I bet he did it purposely trying to garner enough Goldberg chants that it made Vince think, "hey, maybe I should give Ryback a match with Goldberg at WrestleMania!" As of right now, it looks like he's on the fast lane to an Andre the Giant Battle Royal appearance.

As of right now, it looks like he's on the fast lane to an Andre the Giant Battle Royal appearance. With all the injuries he probably could've gotten a spot in a multiman IC/US Title match. Imo the Andre Battle Royal would've been a better choice for Ryback. If he is in battle royal, he'd probably be one of the stronger booked guys in the match, and someone likely to end up as one of the last guys in. Also he shouldn't have a match with Goldberg. Goldberg's appeal was watching him wreck shit. He isn't the kind of guy you bring in to have an "epic dream match". He's the guy you bring in to crush a loudmouth comedy heel for lolz. A better use of Goldberg would be vs the Social Outcasts/Xavier Woods/Miz.

Cos he's a brick shithouse and the singlet covered him too much. Also Goldberg. Also he likes the feel of other men's skin on his skin.

I believe it was more Ryback's decision than WWE's tbh. Ryback, if you follow him, tries everything to poke fun at the IWC and the "haters", and has that odd sense of humor... Plus, who talks about Ryback? Now we're talking about him because he changed his attire. Exactly what he wants.

I just want to know if he did or did not go heel last week? Or did he just have to take a shit or something?

This seems like the kind of thing Vince yelled about wanting to do one day backstage and everyone just kinda went with it

Probably cost saving. A pair of black trunks with "THE BIG GUY" printed on the back cost less than a singlet that has been airbrushed. And replacing them would be cheaper as well.
