That's right, it's Monday night again, and the FAN Club is all here ( to all). So that means ONLY one thing... It's time for Monday Night RAW, coming to you live from the always hot Chicago, Illinois. We are less than a month away from WrestleMania 32, but the WWE Superstars are encountering a minor detour as they also prepare for the Roadblock Network Special this coming Saturday night in Toronto.
WWE World Heavyweight Champion Triple H has found himself with the upper hand in two separate title feuds, with two contrasting crowd reactions. Two weeks ago, he put his polarising WrestleMania opponent Roman Reigns out of commission to rapturous cheers, while last week he attempted to do the same to his Roadblock challenger Dean Ambrose, garnering a more traditional negative reaction. But whether it's by The Game or by The Beast Incarnate, Ambrose can take that licking and keep on ticking. He doesn't have to worry about Brock Lesnar tonight, so can The Lunatic Fringe get some all-important momentum tonight going into Roadblock?
The money will indeed be coming here, as Shane McMahon is scheduled to appear tonight for the first time since his shocking return to the WWE fold in Detroit two weeks ago. Last week saw The Undertaker make a somewhat brief, yet decisive comment about his Hell In A Cell bout with Shane O'Mac, as well as Vince McMahon threatening to freeze Shane out of the family inheritance should he lose at WM32. It will be interesting to hear Shane's response to these latest threats.
One championship bout has been confirmed for tonight, as The New Day defend their Tag Team Championship against the recently-formed alliance of AJ Styles and Chris Jericho. The self-proclaimed "Y2AJ" pairing have got momentum on their side after defeating The New Day in three consecutive bouts over the last fortnight, but the champions have more than often found a way to escape with the belts when it matters. Whoever wins here will likely carry the bronze belts into AT&T Stadium, so will it be a first WWE title for The Phenomenal One, as well as an 8th tag team championship win in WWE for Jericho? Or can The Power Of Positivity prevail once more?
After two indecisive finishes to two separate #1 Contender bouts, Sasha Banks and Becky Lynch are both heading to WrestleMania to fight Divas Champion Charlotte for the belt, somehow taking the much-maligned Divas Revolution movement to its most logical conclusion via the Itchy And Scratchy Land shortcut. All three participants will be trying for the upper hand as the weeks tick down, and it all starts tonight.
Intercontinental Champion Kevin Owens is still looking for an opponent to make his KO-Mania prophecy complete, but with so many talents, from Big Show to Dolph Ziggler to The Miz, looking to get one those few remaining non-Andre spots left on the card, he could end up with more than he bargained for. Maybe the IC picture will become clearer tonight.
All that, and The Lucha Dragons against The League Of Nations (prove me wrong, WWE), TONIGHT on Monday Night RAW!
