When did WWE get those new black monitors Triple H threw on the floor at the end of Raw? Did the old ones break and need replacing? Do these take less damage when thrown to the floor? If they're new, why are they still so bulky? Surely they can afford some flat screens?

Someone got into it once, but the bulky ones are actually very good for their purposes, having no lag, so they see stuff as it happens, which isn't necessarily the case with a lot of newer kinds of monitors, which could lag.

I noticed the new ones about a month ago. I don't think they've had them long.

I would imagine the have to be bulky so people can throw them on a hard floor without them being damaged.

I never noticed it until my girlfriend pointed it out, but those bulky ones just look so outdated. I get that they don't lag or anything like that, but they look so lame. I'm also sure that smaller ones would have been better for Randy Orton's back at WrestleMania XXX.

Outdated as they may seem. those bulky monitors are industry standard for live television broadcasts.

Yeah, and they're necessary for the announcers as they are commentating (or not commentating) on what the television audience is seeing. It sounds crazy that they have the best seat in the house but watch from small monitors Yeah, it's so they aren't commentating on stuff that the audience can't see.
