I just realized that WWE has kinda pushed itself into a corner here, and is going to have to have Taker/Shane go on last. Never mind that it's a HIAC match and generally, those go on last anyways. The issue is storyline related. If Shane wins, then it's going to be weird for HHH, now out of power as part of the Authority, to go out and defend his title. It gives him a big sympathy angle from the crowd who almost assuredly with be anti-Roman to begin with. I guess they could have the HIAC go on and have Taker win, but that then renders the result a lock that Taker wins. With that much at stake, it's almost assured that we're getting HIAC last.
Any other scenarios where HIAC wouldn't go on last?

Or they have Shane win, then do a backstage segment or two saying that Shane's win means HHH's last chance to retain some amount of power is to keep the title. Then Roman gets to be the one to put the final nail in the Authority's coffin.

It'd make sense for it to go last, but it won't. They're ending the show on Rock holding up Roman's hand while the crowd either boos or just leaves.

I guess it makes Triple H seem more sympathetic but at the same time him going last would be a "well dammit if we've lost power than I'm going to be the reigning champion and take the title with me hahahahaha" kind of thing. You know, "Trips Last Stand" so while it wouldn't be great to end that way, it would sorta make sense. It's not as important that's for sure though.

The idea that a non-wrestler like Shane gets to main event a Wrestlemania after not wrestling for 7 years is goddamn ridiculous. This isn't The Rock, who is one of the top 3 draws ever and an A list star. This is just a McMahon, that's it. Roman/HHH needs to go on last.

Am I the only one who thinks it isn't going to just be HHH/Roman. The weird "Ambrose with feet under the rope" spot last night makes me think he is going to be added as a 3 way. That and Lesnar not killing Wyatt, but just Harper last night. They can go with Bray/Brock at WM now, with Ambrose being added to the main event.

It really felt like they decided to switch to Lesnar/Wyatt and Ambrose is added to the main event.

I think they just need to run HHH/Reigns simply so the crowd can shit on it and give it a horrible response. They've only done it to themselves.

I don't think HHH should be putting anyone over at his age. I just don't buy a 45 year old man being able to outwrestle guys who are in the prime of their life.
I'd rather see HHH vs The Rock at Wrestlemania, or at least someone whose from the same era and same age division as he is.

I kind of like the idea of Triple H's last chance to stay on WWE TV by winning the title match. It still needs at least Dean Ambrose to be added. WWE should just go for broke and add Wyatt, Lesnar, and Ambrose to the match, maybe a crazed idea by a pissed of Vince McMahon not wanting to deal with any chaos while dealing with Shane.

Triple H/Shane would make more sense for me.

Taker/Bossman wasn't the show-ender for XV.

If I were Triple H and the Authority had to disband and I was expected to wrestle after it, I'd just leave with the title. What are they gonna do?

It'd make sense for it to go last, but it won't. They're ending the show on Rock holding up Roman's hand while the crowd either boos or just leaves. The End of a show is usually a good time to leave.

Well, my point was typically it kind of can go two ways, either the crowd hangs around for awhile, taking in the ending, continuing to cheer or boo, soaking in the atmosphere for a minute more... or they just say, "Well, there's the three, I'm gone," and immediately start filing out, which is what I'm expecting at Mania.
