One can make the argument that ROH is the number 2 promotion in the US these days.
With the exodus of talent recently - AJ Styles, Samoa Joe, Kurt Angle, Austin Aries, Bobby Roode, Eric Young - is TNA really relevant anymore?
Couldn't TNA be absorbed into (w)rest of wrestling?

I was honestly surprised when TNA was first given one. I always loved the (W)rest of Wrestling section, but remember even TNA discussion was supposed to go there, it was always dwarfed by the WWE section.
I get why Mods are still keeping it up though as at this point killing it would just kill traffic and more posts. Last I remember one of the mods mentioned it may get turned into an ROH section once TNA officially goes belly up.

It would be nice if this just became an "Other Televised Wrestling" forum that covers TNA, Lucha Underground, and ROH all at once. I think each of those promotions deserves it's own dedicated forum just as much as TNA does at this point.

Until TNA is dead and bloated, this board remains open. Once the bones been picked clean and nothing is left to talk about, this portal to Hell shall be closed.

This board is the funniest on FAN. Let's keep it around for as long as possible.

At first I thought that closing it would be a mercy killing at this point, but with their most famous talent leaving and them getting stuck with Eli Drake and Michael Bennet and the rest of those goobers, they deserve to be mocked.

I didn't realize it was that time of the year for another "should we close the TNA section?" thread. These things really sneak up on you ever since "Sting to the WWE" season ended.
Seriously, the mods have made their position on the subject clear, do we really need to be revisiting this idea every few months?

I do find it funny that we are now at this point when just a decade ago people were fighting for a TNA board. I know times change but just strange to see the growth of this board and TNA's demise wrapped up in this one topic. It would be nice if this just became an "Other Televised Wrestling" forum that covers TNA, Lucha Underground, and ROH all at once. I think each of those promotions deserves it's own dedicated forum just as much as TNA does at this point. We have kicked a version of this idea around following death of TNA, not using TV but more popularity and size. Nothing decided as there are others talked about as well. Until TNA is dead and bloated, this board remains open. Once the bones been picked clean and nothing is left to talk about, this portal to Hell shall be closed. This is a big part of it as well. TNA is still large and should it die, depending on what happens to the talent and assets, will be one of the biggest stories of that year and need somewhere to talk about it. This board is the funniest on FAN. Let's keep it around for as long as possible. TRUTH.

I get such an excited tingle down my spine whenever I click on the TNA section of this forum, eagerly awaiting to read about the next hilarious and nonsensical chapter in the story of TNA wrestling.......please don't suggest taking one of life's pleasure away from me.

TNA even as it is, still should be as is because when you look at the (W)restling of wrestling you don't see as many threads about one federation like we still get as jokely it maybe about TNA.

It gets more talk going for it than any non-WWE company does, the board's still pretty active (not hugely so, but any given time if you check there are probably some new posts there), and it's probably the funniest part of the board so by all means, it should stay until either the board completely dies off or the company does.

Keep it around. It's not dead just yet. TNA could become interesting again, unlikely but you never know.

If they run out of money and no one keeps working there, I think we'll still see Dixie putting up videos on Youtube of her wrestling on her bedroom floor with a stuffed Yoshi and promising news on Bound For Glory soon.

While ROH is undoubtably the #2 promotion in the United States and there's no argument whatsoever to the contrary, the reason the TNA boards need to stay open is because there's so much happening with TNA that needs to be discussed. While the viewership and notoriety does continue to dwindle, it's still generating a lot of regular news that completely warrants the company having its own forum on these boards.
If anything, I'd advocate for adding an ROH section before I'd say to scrap the TNA one.

You could argue at least TNA is still number two for brand recognition; while ROH is a hell of a lot more stable a business, is doing better financially, and has more widespread influence, TNA is still better known among the general public. Granted, even if it number two it's a pretty firmly by default thing and really means nothing. As for adding an ROH board, the problem with that is there just plain isn't very much to talk about. If it suddenly had tons of threads going for it in Wrest, maybe, or if the one was so breakneck it's impossible to tell what's going on, but in general there just isn't much to discuss with it most of the time.

In terms of who's bigger between TNA and ROH, I'd say barely TNA at this point, on account of having a UK deal, and some other international deals. ROH only has France right now afaik, and hasn't been on in the UK in over 10 years. I've heard their american exposure is about equal ATM.
