I just read that after Dixie's infamous, "My way or the highway" speech in 2009 to the TNA locker room that several top talents actually asked to released...and were denied. Does anyone know who these people were?

I love the TNA-ness of laying down the law, telling your talent to love it or leave it.....and then beg them to stay when they actually decide to take you up on your tough talking offer.

My favorite thing was the facial expression on the guys. Like Bubba Ray Dudley figured out at that the end was a couple of years away, and AJ realized that Dixie was corrupted with power.

A lot of guys demanded their release after that, Team 3D, Rhino, Daniels and even AJ I think was tempted. I think Awesome Kong also demanded it as well as Tara. You can tell a lot of guys had private meetings afterwards regarding how they were treated just now by her after they all came together to put on great shows and she pulls that stunt.

If it had been part of an angle it could almost be excused, since one of the subplots of Hogan coming was some people being afraid he and Bischoff would turn the place into WCW 2010, but not only to legit have that meeting and then broadcast it? The mind reels.

Bischoff has a number of failings as a boss (not all of them being his, WCW had a terrible structure when it came to "who the hell IS boss around here?"), but at least when he pulled this shit with Raven when Raven complained in WCW, and Raven took him up on it, he actually stuck to his word and didn't backpedal.

Alissa Flash left sometime when Hogan came in cause she knew the Knockouts division was gonna suffer. Obviously, she was right.

nah they actually left. Raven and Homicide are the two that I know of. I got Raven being legit mad because according to him Hogan screwed him in WCW, but why did Homicide wanted out? Maybe he's psychic lol, how did he knew the damage Hogan was gonna cause?

According to the man himself, Homicide was just keeping it real at the time. Even compared his behavior back then to that Chappelle's show sketch in a recent interview.

the fact that she not only thought that giving the speech was a good idea in the first place... and then f***ing aired it on Impact still boggles my mind.

And he did the same thing in WCW. Never tell Raven he has the option to leave because he always will.
