I started watching Jessica Jones today and I'm on episode six. I definitely should've waited and done the poll with Killgrave mentioned Yes, yes you should have.

I know he's an anti-hero and not a true villain, as he was brainwashed, but when the Winter Soldier first appears, it feels like the goddamn Earth is ending. Unbelievable presence by Sebastian Stan.

He's not a major "villain", but the way they revealed the Senator (RIP Garry Shandling) from Iron Man 2 as a Hydra sleeper agent in Captain America: The Winter Soldier was pretty brilliant. Hydra in general has been pretty good in the MCU I think.

I like the added details on Hydra that Agents of SHIELD has provided by making them an ancient cult who worship a centuries-old abomination, with many different "heads" beyond "evil neo-Nazi organization".

I thought the first Captain America movie made it pretty clear that HYDRA as an organization was only using the Nazis for its own ends and was quite a bit older than the Third Reich. That said, I loved what Captain America 2 and Agents of SHIELD did for them.
My vote is for Loki, followed by Alexander Pierce. I don't have Netflix so I can't fairly judge the villains from Daredevil and Jessica Jones.

Wilson Fisk.
D'onofrio made Kingpin SO compelling, that when he's not on-screen in Daredevil, I become Tom Hanks.
"WILSON! WILSON COME BACK!!"

Killgrave. That guy was truly terryfing and is evil with little to no redeemable characteristics. Him and Fisk were the only villains that presented a sense of real danger to them. If Marvel never announced a defender series after, the thought of the real possibility of Jessica Jones dying in the end was actually real.
The MCU has really only made three villains that actually a carry a sense of actual danger to them. Two are from TV shows and the other is reformed villain The Winter Soldier.
