Nothing would have saved WCW. Sooner or later, they'd have still gone out of business.

I'm surprised to see Jeff Jarrett in that intro. I guess that means in this one, Triple H and Stephanie are now part of Ric Flair's Magnificent Seven, which will probably be the Magnificent 9 or something, The Rock, Godfather and Booker T will be the new Harlem Heat 2000, The Hardy's would team up with Sugar Shane, Mike Awesome and Lance Storm would gather the Dudleys, RVD, and other former ECW talent and be a Hardcore Stable, Kane and Taker would team up with Sting, and Stone Cold will have his own undefeated streak. And since Bagwell is not in the intro, I assume he also lost his job as well, and will rant that WCW only cared about the WWE talent they acquired and cared less for their homegrown talent.

I'm more curious if we would have gotten ever anything like the WWE Network.
Even assuming they had the backing of Turner/AOL Time Warner, and all that.

The only cool thing from this video was Jeff Hardy fighting Mr. Perfect. Everything else felt out of place with the WWF/E logo somewhere in the background.. They should've just thrown around clips from the intros of 2002/3 Raw and Smackdowns that had WCW stars into the mix (Hall, Nash, Hogan, Flair, Goldberg, Steiner, Booker T, Mysterio, Lance Storm, Bischoff, Stacy Keibler, Torrie Wilson) The Rock and Stone Cold would probably be just as big in the intro. Trips? not so much.

From WWEs official YouTube. Kinda odd timing to post it Surprisingly not! The Monday Night War ended on March 23 when WWE bought the assets of its biggest competitor, and the final Nitro aired three days later. So it was 15 years ago yesterday that we watched Vince McMahon on both TNT and TNN. PWInsider covered WWE's purchase in its This Day in Wrestling History column, and even included a transcript of a conference call with Linda McMahon and executive Stu Snyder. One thing that jumped out at me was her comment that an all-wrestling channel wasn't in the immediate future, but could happen sometime down the road. A channel that only shows wrestling? Yeah, like THAT will ever happen!

Someone needs to link that fan-made WCW version of "Lonely Road of Faith." Damn that good, I hadn't seen it before. Shame they never had the DX tank during the part where the WWF version used the NWO clips though.

That Rock/Road Warrior Animal Starrcade program would have been the stuff of legend.

Nitro winning the war likely mean Vince retrenches and the WWF becomes a strictly regional fed from say...Philly up through the northeast and into Canada. Smaller venues, cuts costs, and sort of lays in wait for the next opportunity. He would never allow himself to be fully defeated and absorbed into WCW

Actually, since the WWF was in most danger of going out of business in 1996-97, they should use the 1998-era nitro opening, but i guess it would be hard to pull off the "clips on buildings" effect that intro used.

HHH would never get the massive push he got by being the owner's son-in-law.. Sigh.

Triple H would be one of those guys punished on live TV for being Vince's boy, squashed by a minor NWO member then made to work worldwide.
Ignoring all the 'only pushed because he married Stephanie' hooey, he was already heavily pushed and well connected in 1997-8 which is the period the WWF were most likely to collapse, when he's hired by WCW he'd be in the same position as Kanyon was in his WWF run, connected to people who no longer matter or are persona non grata. Triple H had influence over WWF booking in 1997, we know this because of his involvement in the Screwjob, and in WCW he was close to Flair and Regal, both less than influential in the company then, and I'm sure some in management would resent the way he left to join the WWF despite being someone they had plans for.
