I usually say I feel bad for him but I'm past it. At this point I outright enjoy the carnage of a savage crowd. It's like the robot fighting competitions when one robot just f***ing explodes. The mayhem is the entertainment factor. So what you're saying is during the match, Triple H is gonna explode, due to him being more machine than man and basically a terminator? I'd watch that.

This whole thing could have been avoided if they swapped Regins v Triple H into the hell in a cell match (Even Reigns is gonna get cheered if he wins to put the authority out of business). Had Ambrose v Lesnar fighting for the title and slipped Undertaker into something a little less random than fighting Shane McMahon. (Apologies for fantasy booking) See, the problem with this is one simple thing: It makes too much sense.

I like Roman Reigns. I don't like how he's been booked. I just hope we get a good match, and if it is good then the fans present should not shit on it. Shit on the booking, sure, but if it's a good match don't shit on that.
They really went the wrong way with the guy and it's frustrating to watch. Oh well, my fingers are crossed for a good match with HHH.

The sad thing too is that, despite obviously doing so recently, there's no way they'd mute a WrestleMania crowd if they're booing someone. Ignoring the fact that they probably couldn't given the amount of people and the size of the stadium, but this is supposed to be the biggest match of the biggest show all year; how would it look if everyone sounded muted? If it's a roofless stadium the crowd will sound alot quieter anyway as all the sound escapes at the top whereas in an arena there's nowhere for it to go. The best recent mania for crowd noise was xxx as it was 60,000 people in a dome, the stadium shows always sound underwhelming.

Honestly, the "You Still Suck" chant coming right in after that well executed spot that got a huge reaction might be the funniest chant i've ever heard

I honestly hope the match is a bust and hell I hope there's a botch like Reigns tripping himself before being demolished by laughter. I hope it goes straight into Wacky Mode. I'm expecting it purely due to the crowd and a carnage. It's going to be a car crash but not in the way the WWE's tried to make it. This has been predicted since he got that record at Survivor Series 2013. Reigns will not be accepted until he is heel and finds a character. This is something people don't remember. See that night was the first night where I said "yeah, his Super Push is starting here" and it's been true. You could tell who they were building him up to be at that point.

I took particular glee from the irony of ECW fans chanting "you can't wrestle" at somebody. But a lot of ECW wrestlers could wrestle.

For me it was when Cena tried to show off after a "YOU CAN'T WRESTLE!" chant, and the crowd immediately responded with "SAME OLD SHIT!"

Roman is the living symbol of WWE wanting their wrestlers to fill in roles on a TV show without any regard for how fans actually, y'know, respond to them in said roles.
It's another brick in the load of the "independent contractor status in the WWE is total BS" argument. They want these guys to dress, act, and say exactly the things WWE wants them to say, even if it means destroying their own personal marketability, which is what they're basically doing to Roman right now. Independent contractors get to keep a lot of their gimmick and personality so they can continue being marketable around the wrestling world; what WWE wants are full time cast members who'll show up and be whoever the writers want them to be, in whatever role they want them to be in.
That works more in Lucha Underground, where most of the original characters are masked, it really doesn't work much in WWE.

Funniest part of that was of course he was facing ROB VAN DAM... who pretty much relies on his old spots I mean not really criticizing him because most wrestlers have their same signature spots... but I mean "their" guy was just as guilty of it

I usually say I feel bad for him but I'm past it. At this point I outright enjoy the carnage of a savage crowd. I'm torn. On the one hand I have immense sympathy for Roman, as it's patently obvious how hard he's trying to make things work despite knowing it's a battle he can't win. On the other hand, the company is flat out moronic enough to keep pushing people their audience rejects, and still don't learn their lessons. The Mania crowd will be rough as hell on Roman, but the stadium atmosphere will dull it somewhat. The post-Mania Raw crowd however? My god, they'll have to mute his entire segment, have Roman record his lines in a studio and play them over the live feed while he mimes.

HHH getting cheered over Reigns. What a shock. You would think HHH and Vince would have known that was going to happen, but I'm guessing they are as shocked as the rest of us.
