Definitely Hogan. When I read the recent transcript of what his wife said, about him destroying the family because he couldn't let go of the character-it just seemed so accurate to the Hogan of the last 20 years.
Outside of what she said, I think the jail transcripts between he and his son are the most interesting to my response as I can totally see him concerned only about how he and his son can benefit from the car accident.
I also get that people want to be successful in business, but at some point he HAS to let go of trying to make it in business after so many failed attempts, or failed attempts from businesses in using his image. Maybe he's finally found something with the Beach Shop, though, but you have the pasta company, the burger co., the energy drink co. and more. Plus, there's the lies about Metallica and similar embellishments.

Anyone who went down the path of murder or doing something so horrific, I can't look at them the same no matter how good there work was. Like Benoit and ext make me think very little of them.
On a positive note in this thread I'm going to talk about the Undertaker. I've always was a fan of his but as I got older and had more knowledge of wrestling the more respect and the more you really appreciate someone. The Undertaker is a guy who is going to be a great lost to wrestling when he finishes because it hard to find a guy who is not only a guy who takes what on paper looks like wrestlecrap and turn it into gold for years and time went on find ways to evolve the character. Some say he steal but I can't say the same. Then to know that everyone respects him and nobody ever says anything bad about him and people look up to the guy backstage is a big deal. On top of how a man his size can do what he does is special and a once in a life time talent as shown as there hasn't been many big men coming around who can do what he can do. I guess you can say I realize what we as wrestling fans have before it's gone even if it close to being gone. Taker seems like the guy you want to be like as a wrestler when handling business.

If anything my respect and admiration for Hulk Hogan has increased. ...Not gonna elaborate on this at all? I find it hard to watch old ECW matches as an adult who can fully appreciate what they were doing to themselves. I can still watch old stuff from before the world at large was more aware of this on a national scale - basically pre-Benoit, before WWE banned headshots. I still wince if I see a particularly stiff headshot with a chair, but me not watching the old matches isn't going to help any of these guys get any healthier. I just am not going to pay money to see any more of it or seek out anything that is along those lines that was made in the modern era.

He's had a very rough couple of years...the divorce and Nicks accident. Real low periods, contemplated suicide. But he came out of it very well and rebuilt his life. He has undergone many incredibly painful surgeries due to a lifetime of entertaining us, he pumped millions into Brooke's singing career trying to make something of her Linda in my mind is like the ex wife from hell.

I know that tape bothers some people but come on who among us hasn't said something we regret. Not a big deal at all for me

I've never said "f'n n-words" but I have, when upset at my wife, said "I hate women" when I obviously didn't. I guess that isn't on the same scale as what Hogan said.
But, I will say this. A girl I know, her dad was murdered in a botched robbery by a black man and in her grief, she said the word that shall not be said. She had never been racist before that moment and I'm not convinced she is now. But at that moment she certainly was.

I watched Wrestlemania 24 a few days ago. When Batista came out for his match, I felt so differently towards him than I used to. I used to see him as a meathead with nothing going on between the ears who didn't give a shit about wrestling and was just there to be famous and feed his ego. And now I see him as this bright, humble, interesting guy who loves wrestling and possesses qualities of eras gone by, eras that I miss in some ways.
Then his match against Umaga was garbage, so I don't know what to think anymore.
