Similar to the way many companies hand out bonuses at Christmas or the end of the financial year to everyone relating to the performance. It's sort of a "keep up the good work" payment to try and keep the workforce happy. Is there a WWE equivalent to Jelly of the Month club? The ERMGERD might be close, especially this year.

Some go a bit further. {Spoiler}That was a Summerslam bonus rather than Wrestlemania, but still.

Imo the "everyone gets a payday PPV" should be the Rumble not Mania. WWE wouldn't even have to have a day were everyone gets a payday if they actually used the whole roster consistently throughout the year.

If WWE wants to give annual bonuses to the talent, it can simply do so outright. It need not try to jam as many people as possible onto a WM card and use the "WM payday" to justify the bonus. Kinda silly.

Kinda silly. But that's also the same point- money is money and one thing, but giving the performers the opportunity to compete AT WRESTLEMANIA, and in front of that large a crowd is a reward in and of itself to boot. There's a financial bonus and a "personal markout moment for the wrestler" bonus in play there.

Dean Ambrose: Hey if you're looking for any last minute Wrestlemania gift ideas for me I'd like Vincent K. MacMahon, my boss, here tonight. I want him brought from his T-Rex skull office up in Stanford with Patterson, Brisco & Kevin Dunn & I want him brought right here with a ribbon on his head and I wanna look him in the eye & tell him what a lousy, old, out of touch, sneeze-hating, snowcone-eating, semen-loving, grapfruit-having, ass-obsessed, quad-tearing, fart-loving, usless, brainless, dickless, heartless, steroid-munching, googly-eyed, pin-headed sack of Mantaur shit he is! Hallelujah! Holy Shit! Where's Renee?

Kinda silly. One of the appeals on Mania is the spectacle of seeing just about everybody appear one way or another. If you only have the names that "matter" appear, then it's just another PPV, except with a bigger crowd.

It's cool to give everyone a Mania payday. Put the guys that usually wouldn't belong on the card in the battle royal. Stop cluttering up the rest of the card.

Mania should be only the "workers that matter" and The other workers should be appearing on the other PPVs. Part of the problem I have with the everyone gets a payday thing is that it's never actually everyone and it looks shitty and looks like a dick move when "everyone" is on Mania except Wrestler XYZ.
