It was in 2010 that I found out that Missy Hyatt was in WWE in the late 80s and filmed her own "talk show" on WWE programming only for those segments to never air. Here is the link that talks about her stay in WWE ringthedamnbell.wordpress.com/2014/07/31/a-moment-in-time-missy-hyatt-checks-in-and-out-of-the-wwf/Here's another link that includes a partial article from the magazine telling WWE fans of her arrival on TV (that eventually never aired) www.my123cents.com/2014/01/way-back-whensday-missys-manor.htmlSince this was before I became a fan, I wonder what the child WWE fans (or all fans for that matter) who read that magazine article thought when they didn't see her on WWE programming. (Remember, there was no Internet around to explain). Also, I wonder what it would be like if WWE Network aired these clips. Would they air it with commentary or not? I a thinking the latter.

All of the clips of her segments are out there despite never airing, as you can see on both links. I dont think they had commentary on them. She wouldnt be the only character to pop in WWF Magazine yet never materialize, so I guess it would have left fans wondering. She was a good heel valet prior to this so I dont get why the didnt use her in such capacity, in fact on the Macho Man DVD it was confirmed that she was considered for Elizabeths spot.
She was pretty bad in these segments though so its not suprising they never made air. She was offered a job as a federette instead but declined.
Still odd to see Missy Hyatt and Miss Elizabeth in the same clip.

I remember the Apter mags mentioning her as being a rising star in the WWF, and I always wondered when her segments were going to finally air.

If they had cast her as a heel valet as opposed to a lame talk show host I think she would have been HUGE for the WWE in the 80s.
She talks in depth about her all-too-brief fun in her autobiography. Really sad that it never worked out for her,

She gets a lot of criticism for her reputation outside of the ring and her tell all book but she was a great talent on mic and ahead of her time in wrestling when there were few women in it. Most just judge her based on the last 15 years or so of her life but forget how over she was in World Class and WCW. Also a real natural beauty with a great body. A shame she ruined all of that with drugs and more plastic surgeries than Heidi Montag. I remember her saying that she was suppose to the manager for the Macho Man but then he had the WWF hire his wife so he can collect two pay cheques. I don't see how the WWF couldn't find a way to showcase her.

Eddie Gilbert was supposed to come along with her originally, but when Watts offered him the booking position in UWF, Eddie had second thoughts and went back. I imagine once that happened, Missy's enthusiasm with the whole thing likely dropped.
As for the whole "would have managed Savage instead of Elizabeth" thing is, in my opinion, absolute bull. Elizabeth debuted in the WWF on July 30, 1985 (with the bit airing on TV in August). By every account I see, Missy debuted in World Class alongside John Tatum. Tatum, however, didn't start this particular stint until around July 19 of the same year (that's the earliest WCCW card I can find featuring him). So we're expected to believe that while already hyping up Macho's entrance into the WWF and the manager mystery, Missy debuted down south and caught Vince's eye so much that in the span of two weeks, he wanted to plug her into an angle that was already in motion? Again, keep in mind, the WWF was already doing the "who will manage Savage?" bit when Missy first debuted. That's where it all falls apart.
