I'm still hoping for the brand split. a Women's division on Raw and a Diva's on SmackDown. Put Brie, Nikki, Summer, Mandy, Eva, Tamina, Cameron, Lana, Renee & Nattie on Smackdown (and Total Divas) while Bayley, Charlotte, Sasha, Becky, Asuka, Emma, Athena & Paige wrestle on Raw.
Not that I dislike the Bellas, nor do I think Nattie can't wrestle... it's just that with all 3 of their in-ring careers winding down/ending I see them as better fodder for TD.

So I decided to see the reactions of ratchet diva fans and boy, did I sure make a mistake because I feel like I have cancer after reading that forum and some parts of Twitter. There's bitching about the ugly butterfly belt being replaced, acting like the diva's title will be Benoit'd and never mentioned again, how the division from 2008 will never be spoken about again and how they deserve to lose ratings if that happens, how Naomi will never ever win the Diva's title that she wanted, they called Nikki "Queen" (uuuugh) and about how her accomplishment means shit now, blaming the Four Horsewomen about how their childhoods are "trashed", how they aren't going to be "stans" (just say ****ing fans, you losers) anymore. Oh, and there's also now kind of a grudge against Sasha Banks for ...reasons. Jesus Christ. What is wrong with these people? Imagine their reactions whenever Total Divas gets cancelled. Stans?

I believe it's supposed to be a term for "fan" or "hardcore fan". Probably comes from the song "Stan" by Eminem. I've heard morons call fans of people they hate that. I have no idea why somebody would refer to them self as one, considering the song is about a psycho fan who kills himself.

"Oh, let's put the women who are actually good on RAW and all those shitty bitches who have nothing going for them except pretty faces and nice tits on SD." WWE needs to make an actual effort to fix their workers who were unfortunate enough to come up during their darker periods rather than just writing them off.

Oh I know, it wasn't my idea to fix the problem, it was just me saying "move all these girls that I don't want to see in the ring to SmackDown because I don't watch it". Also the segregation would prevent matches like Rosa vs Asuka... yeah...

This isn't a fake its a mock up done in the reddit comments based on the rumours. Not trying to be a jerk, but what's the difference between that and a fake? A fake is something someone tries to pass off as legit. Ie claiming that it's a leaked image of the actual belt. A mock up is something someone's made for fun as an idea of what they think it will look like or what they want it to look like which they haven't tried to pass off as the real deal.

Now if only they would acknowledge the tag belts to be traced back to the 1971 titles, and not the Smackdown titles. I never understood why they kept the lineage of the 2002 tag titles, when the first team includes You Know Who. It'll be cool to have the women's championship back. To me, diva always made it sound like they were all heels. Then again, WWE often booked the division that way.

So, the new belt is going to look like this: Maybe it's my eyes, ot because I'm looking at it in my phone, or maybe it's because it's on that red liner, but I can't tell if that's a light pink strap or a white strap. EDIT: Somehow, after I posted that, it really became clear that it's pink. Looks like I picked the wrong week to stop sniffing glue. Is it white and gold or blue and black? Or whatever the hell that dress was.

I honestly don't mind the Diva's name or title, but I'm still happy for this.
Though I don't like that mock-up of the belt, mostly for the white strap. That looks just plain terrible with the WWE logo against it.

It really does seem like the women's division in WWE is more important than it's ever been (at least, the title scene anyway). In fact, the Charlotte/Lynch/Banks match is actually the highest-billed match on the WrestleMania card featuring all full-timers, male and female, to the point where on the side of the stadium itself right now, the three ladies are front and center. Who would have thought that during the ages of the Playboy centrefold of the month getting the WrestleMania match? Replacing the current championship belt with one mostly similar in design to the current men's WWE World Heavyweight Championship can only build that importance further.
(Soon, all we'll have left to worry about is the storylines)

I didn't mind the diva stuff that much but it's really jarring against the NXT Women's Division, so I'm happy about this news. It's a shame they can't make this triple threat match for the new Women's title, nothing better to build prestige than to debut the title/'new' division at Wrestlemania, but I guess the Divas title gets a nice send off by actually being defended in a normal match. The belt has been around since 2008 and the only other time it has been defended at Mania is in that AJ vs everyone clusterf***.

Now hopefully they will stop playing that shitty Total Divas theme ("I'm back, back, back, on top of the world") when showing the women walking backstage before a match.
To me that's a bigger problem than the butterfly belt or the word "Diva" itself.

Replacing the current championship belt with one mostly similar in design to the current men's WWE World Heavyweight Championship can only build that importance further. (Soon, all we'll have left to worry about is the storylines) Even the design of the belt is a good step forward, but if this is going to work, WWE needs to go that one step further with the rebranded title: Even if you make it look like the WWE WHC, come right out and break that last barrier for the new belt. Name the new belt the " WWE World Women's Championship." It's a small piece, maybe even inconsequential to most- but it would be the biggest honor possible to add this new belt and the decision. There's been moves for women's belts, women's tag belts, and all through it- but throughout wrestling history, the amount of companies that declared their women's title a World Championship, even including hotbeds like Japan and Mexico, could be counted on one hand. Even the rise of women's wrestling on the indies hasn't stemmed that tide- SHIMMER and SHINE still haven't declared their singles titles a World Title, even though they fit the "defended in multiple countries" rule that's classically used to dictate a "World Title" in wrestling. If WWE is ready to change its belt and rebrand the Divas to make it more respectable to fans, the next step should also be to declare the Women's Belt a World Championship and put it directly on par with the WWE WHC. On Sunday, presumably WWE is ready to declare Charlotte, Sasha Banks, or Becky Lynch a Women's Champion. Don't be half safe, WWE. At the same time, declare Charlotte, Sasha Banks, or Becky Lynch a WORLD CHAMPION.

Well, if this report is any indication, Triple H is the one facilitating this segregation within the Divas division. Link: www.pwpix.net/vince-mcmahon-wanted-total-divas-vs-b-d-blonde-match-eva-marie/Basically, viewing Bayley as a "women's wrestler" and not wanting her to get lumped in with the "Divas". Divas such as, Natalya, Paige, Naomi, Emma and Alicia Fox.

About time.
Divas is such a horrible name. Makes me think of a bunch of brainless, shallow airheads rather than skilled athletes.

Do I really have to explain the difference between a fake, which people want you to believe is real, and a mock up based on a rumour? Once something is being posted without a source, there's no difference at all. And in any case unless the "mock up" is by the WWE, it's not official, therefore it's not real. And if it's not real, as far as I'm concerned it's....predetermined?
