Could have had so many different ways to end this feud, and Joe losing because he didn't break his friggen submission, making him look like an idiot, was not it
The match was already taken off the rails with the wole blood cleaning fiasco, that really just was the cherry on top
Fantastic PPV, Balor and Joe did their best, but that was a shit finish on an otherwise great show.

100000000000000% agree.
Joe and Finn deserved better, Finn shouldn't have won that and Joe needs to stay in NXT. I swear, I don't want to see a Joe/Reigns feud at all right now, not like this. Either way that match and ending was lackluster.

Dudes proven to be the most threatening monster aside from Lesnar in the company, what more can he do in NXT after this?

That must have been an improvised finish on the spot, because I really doubt it was original. There must have been an extra 10 minutes or so plus shenanigans.

I really wish Asuka turned heel by attacking Bayley, then when that didn't happen, I wish Joe attacked Balor after the relatively cheap finish. Still a good show, but maybe a more clever finish would be better. In terms of story, Finn was dumb to pick Joe up after his double stomp finisher.

Wish I could say that but it was WON January that there are plans to move Joe up to the main roster post-WM, shit we'll see but I hope it doesn't happen.

I couldn't tell how bad the injury was, so if the precaution was warranted then there's not much I can say against that.
All I can say is that the couple of minutes after Joe got busted open were awesome, like to the point where I was scared for Finn's health.

That finish was fine, it just came out of nowhere and it seemed like the match was just getting into second gear when it happened.

I agree. Joe probably should've won. I said it in the other thread, but with Finn winning, I have no idea how they debut the Bullet Club or what (kayfabe) reason they would have for coming.

They could just not be related to him. Seems like the most logical route to take to me as opposed to turning him heel to introduce a team that's been able to stand without him for a couple years now, when someone else from the group is already face on the main roster completely separated from Balor as it is.

I'll give the finish a pass because I assume that it was stopped early because of the cut but it seem like they was just getting into gear when the finish happened.

This match made me curious...when a "receipt" is coming, does the wrestler warn his opponent? "Hey you know I'm about to stiff the f*** outta you right?" WHAM!

Terrible ending.
Joe should have won and Finn needs to end his incredibly boring reign.
Only saving grace to this is if Joe wins the battle royal this Sunday.

Yeah, I guess they could do that. But as much as Finn's been teasing their debut on Twitter, it's going to be pretty weird if they debut and have nothing to do with him.

I think it was in one of Foley's books that he mentioned something along the lines of being prepared to take a hard shot back if you accidentally land one of yours too hard.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if they did Joe/Finn 3 considering the match was compromised, plus the post match where Joe just went into a trance and walked out into the night.

Finn sucks. Don't know what people see in the guy with this Davey Richards type reign.

For me, hard to judge the match overall with the blood coming early, but one thing that helped redeem the ending for me was Joe's reaction after Finn got out of the submission and won. His look of absolute surprise and almost fear sold the Demon Prince version better than Finn has in his matches; just feels like the first time that a main event-caliber opponent actually feared (and sold) this Finn (KO did not give a f*** about the demon version in Tokyo and Brooklyn, and neither has Joe in their two matches, I mean). Joe almost looked like he was thinking, 'wtf was that?!? He got out of my submission finisher??' I'm hoping this means they'll actually make PPV Finn different, though I suspect I'm reading into things quite a bit and giving the writing too much credit
