Now that we're all talking about that epic Zayn/Nakamura match and the lame-ass ending to Joe/Balor, let's not forget the excellent opener these two teams gave us.

American Alpha is the greatest thing I've ever seen.
Chad Gable is a Technical WIZARD, and Jordan is someone with the background and the experience to finally put it all together...
Seriously, these guys are one of my favorite things ever.

It was a beautifully booked, old school style match with great intensity and athleticism. That match had something for everyone.
I got choked up at the end watching the tears streaming down Jordan's face. He's worked so hard to get to the top and just needed that shot of confidence to put it all together. Gable is obviously going to be a massive star. He has it all. Tonight, those two became superstars.
And then there's the Revival. You know how Ziggler makes everyone look better? That was how the Revival worked tonight. They busted their asses and were there step for step with AAlpha. They are as crisp and fluid as any tag team I've ever seen.
It's amazing how good these guys in developmental are. I wish guys on the main roster were allowed to "go" like the nxt wrestlers.

I've noticed that, for myself anyways, cards with less shenanigan-type finishes tend to be more exciting. In the right way, a dusty finish is okay but I especially want my title holders to fight to retain, not sneak their way out...even if they're a heel.

Couldn't agree more, and I can't toot one team's horn more than they other. They were both great and it was easily my second favorite match of the night. It was the definition of what a tag team match should be. I think the revival are ready to make the jump to the main roster and win those tag team titles. Now that we had the divas revolution, I really hope the tag team revolution is next.

My pick for MOTN. Everything else paled in comparison, I thought.

They were clearly studying old Rock and Roll Express matches. I couldn't believe how many spots they lifted.

I noticed that too, but it's actually pretty cool that tag teams are bringing in some of the old school moves for a new audience that may never have seen them, and if they have it's been a long, long time.

I said it in the Takeover thread and I'll say it here, Jason Jordan kind of reminds me of an in his prime Kurt Angle only with more hops.
Both Gable and Jordan are just machines in the ring, and Revival they're more than worthy of the comparisons to Enforcers and Brain Busters.

Absolutely, and something like climbing under the ring to get to the other side to take the opponent off of the ring apron is just brilliant. I clapped when they did that. So many little things about them, if I were a casual fan I'd easily believe they've known each other a long time like their backstory says.

As much as I loved the Nakamura-Zayn match, this match was my favorite of the night. So happy American Alpha won the titles and both teams really brought it to the table tonight.

I honestly haven't seen a tag team in a worldwide promotion do that sort of awesome heel tag work since Benoit and Malenko managed by Arn Anderson in 1999. Seeing them pull that on a Ricky Morton-esque Chad Gable is awesome.

I've only seen the .gif of it tonight, but that bit where the Revival were trying to grab on to each other before getting taken for simultaneous suplexes...I know I've seen that before, I just can't place it. Early 90s WCW, I'm guessing.
