Surely it's happened at some point. Ref in the wrong place and gets smacked by or into something by accident. Any examples floating around?

Does Tommy Young count? Even though he wasn't knocked out , he was still legitimately incapacitated.

So thinking of Madison's question... Didn't Bronco Lubich get rolled up on in a match and was injured or legit knocked out? I seem to remember a WCCW match toward the end of his career. I can't remember who was in it. To the Network to refresh my memory!

Jim Korderas was knocked out at Wrestlemania IV. Jimmy Hart hit him over the back of the neck with the megaphone and he went down, knocking himself out when his head hit the mat.

I'm convinced when Mark Curtis was splashed by Sting in the corner at UnCensored 1998 and his eyes rolled to the back of his head, that he was knocked out. I shall not be convinced otherwise.

I initially read this thread title as "Legit knocked-up refs".

Scott Armstrong at Survivor Series 2009. Sheamus kneed him in the back by mistake and then Armstrong had to put up the X sign for himself. Much like Tommy Young he was knocked out but he had to be replaced due to a shoot injury.
