We talk about all the indy darlings they bring in and how they win the titles but they're finally letting their homegrown guys get the gold. So far only three champions have been homegrown NXT wrestlers but two of them were legacies.
Jason Jordan and Chad Gable are proof that if you work hard that you can be as impressive as the indy talent and hold titles too. Hell I would say AA have had MOTN on more episodes of NXT than most.
Also who doesn't choke up seeing how emotional they are with the gold?

I love American Alpha but Jordan is a former NCAA qualifier and Gable wrestled in the Olympics... I wouldn't exactly call them homegrown. I appreciate your sentiment though and i've been completely on board with these guys since I was lucky enough to spend some time with them in London. No reason why these guys haven't got a long and successful future ahead of them.
I had to google to check what Jordan was.. I knew he was successful on the amateur level but wasn't sure exactly what he'd accomplished. What I didn't realise is that Jordan is actually younger than me, thankfully for my sanity Gable is slightly older than me!

At this point, I don't care if they come from Ring Of Honor, the NCAA, the Olympics, Johnny Ace's old magazines or right off the street outside the Performance Center... as long as they're good and able to grab my attention with their work inside the ring and/or outside of it, it doesn't matter to me.

By homegrown I meant they started their WWE training in WWE as opposed to the indies or through family members. Also does it feel weird to be that age where all the successful athletes are younger than you as opposed to older than you? I'm soon going to be the age where all the athletes are around my age.

My favorite part about this is Jason Jordan trying so hard to hold it together, only for Gable to say ''Nobody deserves it more than this guy here'' and completely destroy Jordan in the process.

As an Arsenal fan, who's teams in the past decade have fielded players regularly in the 17-20 year old age range i'm kinda used to it. It does kinda hit home that those things I wanted to be when I was a kid, are just not gonna happen. Never say never but it's unlikely, i've never been an athlete though so it was never likely to happen. Hey, I can always work in production right? Haha. I don't know what it'll be like when they're all younger than me but at the moment i'm kinda at the same age as them, which is what made NXT London (or rather my experience afterwards) so cool. I managed to not mark out and just talk to these guys as I would anyone else i'd just met in a bar or whatever and I think they appreciated that and why Gable especially chatted with me for as long as he did. It was a truly memorable experience. A far cry from when I bumped into Eddie Guerrero when I was 12 years old and just stared at him with my mouth wide open haha.

Jordan's been around since the 2011 FCW days, this guy's really been here putting in work and finally he's found something that works for him with a partner who he clicks with. Gable is great and amazing but even he realizes that Jordan deserved that with everything he's been through. Loved it.
