I honestly wouldn't mind seeing Bryan wrestle again, since I'd like to think that he's not some fragile weakling who would die at the first bump he takes. But if he does want to wrestle again, he shouldn't go to Japan to get Strong Style'd to death.

I do and don't want Bryan in NJPW
Okada and Tana would be awesome matches, but the thought of Bryan taking a RAIIIINMAAAKAAAAH is terrifying

He may just want out so he isn't obligated to do all their public appearances and be at their whim any time they want to fly him in to do something. He likely needs to completely get away from wrestling for a while.

But yeah this hopefully just means he wants to get out so he doesn't have to tow the company line and keep up appearances. He made it very clear during the 24 special, book, Road Diaries that he wants nothing to do with wrestling if he can't get in the ring

If it's true, then don't be a f***ing idiot Bryan I would agree, but if you tell someone they can't do something anymore, most likely they're gonna try and prove you wrong. I'm sure, and ego is likely a big thing to do with it, (most) wrestlers would fall into this camp.

I hope this isn't true. I don't want to see Bryan go full Kurt Angle.
Only, instead of top-cage moonsaults, it's top-cage diving headbutts.

Hope that's not true. Stupid, stupid idea on Bryan's part if it is; at least assuming that everything he's said thus far has been the truth.

Oh they will let him out of his contract....on the condition that Bryan moves in with Vince so Vince can know exactly where he is everyday.

Yeah I hope this isn't true because his health will be further damaged if that's the case. Not only that but his legacy as well. He's got the company behind him if he wants to do anything, money rolling in, then he'll be fine for his wife and his future kids. He can't risk that.

I really want to believe that Daniel Bryan simply wants out of his contract so he can pursue non-wrestling endeavors. But after it was revealed that he was hiding seizures from the WWE while publicly putting them on blast for not letting him wrestle, it makes it hard for me to trust what he's saying. This saddens me as a fan since I really don't want him to go down that path in the year 2016 when he should obviously be aware of all the risks involved.

This is just so sad to hear. I can't even begin to imagine how much this is tearing him up inside, but we've seen what happens to guys who refuse to quit despite their bodies pleading with them to. It never, ever ends well. I really, really hope this is just a rumor.

I know we assume it's to wrestle, but being under contract means he's got to appear where and when they tell him to, and maybe he just doesn't want to be at their call anymore.

That site looks like it's bottom of the bin.
If one of the better known sites says something, I'd be more likely to believe it.

I hope not. While like I'd love it if he could keep wrestling somehow, I don't wanna see the dude ruin his life and well being for it. It seriously isn't worth it.

I know we assume it's to wrestle, but being under contract means he's got to appear where and when they tell him to, and maybe he just doesn't want to be at their call anymore. That's why contract language is negotiated. He agreed to the terms and signed it. If that's the conditions he agreed to (for which, I presume, he is handsomely compensated), he's obligated to fulfill the terms for the length of the contract. Nothing says he has to like it.
