I mean, prior to Superunknown.
I know that isn't breaking news, but I just wanted to know who else really appreciated some of their earlier work.

Louder than Love was ok, but I always thought that they were incredibly overrated

I mean, prior to Superunknown. I know that isn't breaking news, but I just wanted to know who else really appreciated some of their earlier work. Badmotorfinger is a great album. Slaves and Bulldozers is a fantastic song that really shows the range of Cornell's voice. Out of all the bands from the 90s Seattle era I liked them more than any band that wasn't the greatness that was Alice in Chains.

Louder Than Love was the soundtrack to high school for me. I'm not that old, I was just rocking it 15 years later.
I used to like them a lot more. For some reason, I don't feel much when I listen to them these days. Whereas other bands from their day like Nirvana and early Pearl Jam, I like that stuff as much as I ever have.
I will say this, see them in concert if you get a shot. I saw them in 2011 and they f***ing rocked, best arena rock concert I've seen.

Very good.
I rate Black Hole Sun as one of my all time favourite songs.

Remember, I love you.
That sentiment has never sounded so horrifying.

Love me some Soundgarden (not to mention Chris Cornell's Euphoria Morning), but I couldn't find anything to like about Soundgarden's reunion album. Didn't even sound like Soundgarden to me.

Louder than Love was ok, but I always thought that they were incredibly overrated Yeah, the first time I heard of them was that album, specifically this song: Badmotorfinger was better, though.

I've always thought they rocked, but I'm not a fan because I don't like Chris Cornell's voice. Ditto Alice In Chains and Layne Stayley (which I probably misspelled). And I don't mean they can't sing, just that what they do isn't what I personally want from rock music.

Yeah I enjoy them. I'm going to see Chris Cornell in July, I'm looking forward to it.

Anyone else think Badmotorfinger just...sounds bad? Clicky drums, weird guitars. I like Louder Than Love's washed out reverby sound a lot more, and their later albums had a nice fullness and punch to them. When I think about Badmotorfinger I think about the thin-sounding mix. Chris sounds awesome on it though, that's his best record no doubt.

I like how Fiend sampled them on "Thuggin' and Druggin'"

I really like 'Burden in my Hand' and most of 'Down on the Upside', but I never got the love for 'Black Hole Sun'. I just never liked it, and it actually annoys me.
