I was randomly wondering today whether or not Rey Mysterio had ever been a heel (I think he might have been in Mexico) and then I couldn't think of anybody else who has been either a career babyface or a career heel.
Jeff Hardy had a heel run in TNA.
RVD had had an early heel run.
Even The Miz had an ill-advised (and short lived) face run.
Is there anyone who's actually done it that I'm missing? Or anyone that's close?
Oh! Tommy Dreamer maybe?

Hasn't Ricky Steamboat been a babyface his whole career?

Was Hillbilly Jim ever a heel? Yes, as Harley Davidson in Memphis. And yes, very very few workers ever worked just one their entire career. When talking of workers of note post, say, 1970-ish, there's less than a dozen in the States (again, of note).

One of the few. Closest he came was as a "rough gaijin" in Japan.

In one of his returns from injury he was presented as a face for one match beating Cesaro before turning heel the next week or so.

I think it's Ricky and Bruno as career faces.
Was Rick Rude or Tully Blanchard ever a face?

I think it's Ricky and Bruno as career faces. Was Rick Rude or Tully Blanchard ever a face? Though I think this was after his actual in-ring career, Rude was KINDA a face for a short stint he had in ECW IIRC.

I don't recall Raven ever being a face, at lest with that gimmick. Not sure about Scotty Flamingo, Scotty The Body, etc.

TNA tried to make Steamboat a heel And for that alone, they deserve to go out of business.

Funny thing about Steamboat is that under his real name, he could have been a heel at the time. Richard Blood was a perfect heel name in the 70s/80s.

Was Rick Rude or Tully Blanchard ever a face? Rude was a babyface in Memphis for a while, and also in Savoldi's promotion feuding with Honky Tonk Man. Tully was a face very, very early on, and then was a face at times on the indie circuit after his big runs (notably the Heroes of Wrestling PPV) I don't recall Raven ever being a face, at lest with that gimmick. Not sure about Scotty Flamingo, Scotty The Body, etc. Raven's last WCW run was as a babyface, teaming with Saturn again against the Horsemen (and with the two of them getting some of the biggest non-Goldberg pops of the nights when they hit the ring). It was cut short when Raven got injured, and when he returned, he was a heel again as part of the Dead Pool for about three shows before leaving. He then showed up in ECW again as a face protecting Tommy Dreamer for a good while before finally going back heel.
