Regardless of how the relationship ended between the two of them, I somehow doubt HHH wouldn't be upset over a woman he once loved. I don't know where folk are getting this image of a cold, heartless person with no feelings whatsoever. Not to mention, I still think he was trying to spare her feelings when the thing people love to make jokes about, the "oh what if my kids googgle her" kind of thing, that it sure wasn't just that she did adult videos. It might have been more that she had their parents and grandfather(I think there was a Vince stand-in?) as characters in it. That, and she was at points so far gone that even Anna Nicole Smith's family were distancing themselves from her at lightning speed. I don't think he had any desire to embarrass her, and even when radio shows, etc, would try to egg him on by asking pointedly about women who have left WWE when they felt bigger than it and floundered, he never singled her out. If he wanted to be petty or had disdain for her, he had many opportunities to voice it. I think he had some level of respect for her even with her lows.

I kind of want a tribute video that is just composed of her giving people low blows and squeezing an agonized Pat Patterson's crotch.

I just got the feeling that if WWE were to mention her. It would be the girls talking about her on Total Divas. (Like when Dusty passed) But taping for the show is done for now isn't?

Yea thats true, business wise they were on much better footing than Chyna needless to say. It remains to be seen what will be done for her, but I think a video is the most that can be expected. All Road Warrior Hawk got was a graphic at the beginning of the show. I'll be surprised if Chyna gets any more than that (If anything at all) I wouldnt be surprised if that was it, but considering Chyna was a LOT more important to WWE than Hawk, its not a stretch to think they do a Macho-style tribute video. While the amount of news regarding Chyna has slowed considerably due to Prince, WWE are in a tough spot in regards to acknowledgement. Too little, they'll get backlash. Too much, and they'll get backlash. A tribute video seems to be the right balance. At least, if I had any say in it thats what I'd suggest they do.

Vince McMahon, Triple H & Stephanie McMahon are all crying crocodile tears regarding Chyna's death. Those three didn't care about Chyna at any time during the last 15 years of Chyna's life. I'm so furious at Vince McMahon for refusing to have Chyna inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame while she was still living. My prediction is that Chyna will finally be getting inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame: Class of 2017. It's so sad that it took Chyna's death for WWE to finally acknowledge her again. For many years, the WWE had pretended that Chyna never existed. Last year, Chyna apologized to WWE for some comments that she had made about Triple H and Stephanie McMahon and then asked WWE to bury the hatchet, but WWE totally ignored her request. Vince, HHH and Stephanie all wanted absolutely nothing to do with Chyna for the last 15 years of her life. Vince, HHH and Stephanie are all hypocrites when it comes to Chyna. I have no doubt that Chyna was devastated and emotionally scarred by WWE's constant very mean treatment of her from 2001-2016. Chyna is the ultimate pro wrestling Diva and she made a much bigger impact on the pro wrestling industry than any other Diva ever has. Chyna should have been inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame before Trish Stratus, Lita, Sunny and Jacqueline got inducted. I rarely defend the company's decisions about anything, but WWE treated Chyna exactly the way she deserved to be treated. In fact, by ignoring her they afforded her more dignity than a lot of other people who have been in her position (Warrior, Hogan, and Bret, for example). Chyna spent most of the last fifteen years making a total embarrassment of herself on national TV, radio, on the internet, and in public. Chyna made a high profile porn movie for one of the biggest porn companies in the world depicting herself having sex with Vince and Stephanie at the same time. Chyna accused HHH of physically abusing her as recently as last year. Chyna turned up unannounced and uninvited at WWE HQ last June with a camera crew in tow hoping to force a meeting "to discuss personal, financial, and contractual issues." I have all the sympathy in the world for her, but let's not pretend that WWE's "very mean treatment" was in any way unprovoked or unjustified. She burned the bridge between herself and WWE many times over, pissed on it, and shit herself a couple of times for good measure while she was at it. An insincere "I'm sorry... Oh, and here's an online petition to put me in the Hall of Fame" doesn't cut it as far as offering to bury the hatchet. We've seen with Jake Roberts and Scott Hall that WWE are willing to bring people out of exile if they can prove that they're reliable and trustworthy again. They've even been willing to put money in the pockets of Billy Graham, despite him accusing WWE of harbouring pedophiles. Despite Chyna's appearing to be on the road to recovery in the last six months, she was still a very, very long way from being either reliable or trustworthy. I dare say she would've had to have been clean, sober, and kept her head down for years before WWE would've even entertained the idea of putting her on stage with a live mic. I said earlier in the thread that WWE probably could have done more to help her, but she made it as difficult as possible for them to do so. Chyna certainly deserves a spot in the Hall of Fame, and I'm sorry she never lived long enough for it to happen, but in no way did she ever prove herself capable of being put in that position without embarrassing both herself or WWE. No offense but This sounds disrespectful considering the woman has been dead for over 24 hours.

Halfway through RAW, just have Cole saying something like "Ladies and gentlemen, this past week, we all heard the sad news of the passing of Chyna, an often controversial, but groundbreaking part of WWE's Attitude Era, and a trailblazer for women's wrestling. We here at WWE would like to express our deepest sympathies and condolences to Chyna's family, friends and fans, as we pay tribute to the one and only, Ninth Wonder of the World"
Then either put up a nice picture of Chyna with her year of birth/death on screen, and fade out to commercial, or do a short music video with her best moments in WWE.
That should suffice for most reasonable people.

No offense but This sounds disrespectful considering the woman has been dead for over 24 hours. None taken, and maybe it is, but I'm not writing her eulogy here. I was responding to a post that epitomises what was wrong with Chyna's life over the last 15 years - too many people happy to lay blame on HHH, Stephanie, Vince, and WWE while making excuses for her as she spiralled further and further out of control. Those are the people far more worthy of scorn than anybody in Stamford, CT. How many of the people who loved and cared about her tried to take her aside and say "I don't think making a WWE themed porn is a good idea"? Wouldn't it have benefited her more if someone had suggested she go into actual rehab rather than see what Celebrity Rehab with Dr. Drew could do for her career? Chyna was a very troubled woman, and had been since long before she met HHH. For whatever wrongs he did or didn't do her at the end of their relationship every choice she made since then had been her own, and her death doesn't change that any more than it makes HHH/Stephanie/Vince/WWE more culpable.

We had a brief discussion about Chyna in my sociology class today. I'm shocked so many people knew who she was, but in a class of predominately 20-ish year-old girls, I'm going to guess they know her from reality tv over late '90s/early '00s pro-wrestling.

Considering Chyna probably made bank by making adult movies and also probably enjoyed doing it to some degree, I don't think that's a huge surprise.

So, just because someone died, a person can't drop truth bombs at someone who was being ignorant over the whole situatio? Person A starts spewing typical crap, acting like the WWE is this big, evil monster and no one can be sadden by her passing because of it. Person B comes alone and gives many truthful reasons as to why they kept away from her for all of these years. If someone is going try to paint the WWE in a bad light, other people should be able to counter with the truth of the situation and they shouldn't have to shy away from it just because that person is dead.

I'll apologize if this has been said before, I simply don't want to read through every reply in a sad thread to find out. In regards to the current discussion - this all reads to me like a stereotypical relationship between an addict and older-school, out of touch parents. The addict is great during their formative years and spirals slowly downward into erratic behavior, meanwhile the out of touch parent deals a bit at first then decides the best course of action is to cut all ties with the addict to send a message. This generally has the opposite of the desired effect, sending the addict further down the spiral and drives the wedge between the two deeper and deeper. Eventually the addict passes, and the other party regrets their actions, while reflecting on the good times they had and admitting that perhaps the addict's redeeming qualities should have superceded the bad. They give them their due, but it's already too late.

This thread should be more respectful. Everyone knows her past, just drop it for one thread. If I recall, it was taboo to mention Warrior's homophobia in his tribute thread, and that was a bigger wrongdoing than making a porno flick.
Come on people.

I have a downright irrational hatred for this opening paragraph. Why not name Dr. Bennet Omalu instead of Will Smith? Why does the real Dr. Omalu not even get namechecked until 3 or 4 paragraphs in? Also, I don't know how I feel about them continuing the documentary through the investigation of her death. Seems kinda exploitative.

Also, I don't know how I feel about them continuing the documentary through the investigation of her death. Seems kinda exploitative. Eh, I think its a wait for the final product before deciding if its exploitative. There have been more than a few very well made documentaries made that cover a subject's death and it all depends on how its presented. The documentary was clearly important to her and its also possible there had been discussions if something was to happen to her prior to its release on what should be done. It remains to be seen if its exploitative.
