In a way, I think we all kind of expect people in the spotlight that are under some sort of addiction to kick it and make a heroic comeback at some point, which is part of why situations like these are so depressing.
Kind of rambley, but this suuuuucks.

Shit...
I really wanted her to get to a better place in life and, for a while, it seemed like she had. While not completely shocking, it's still sad. R.I.P.

Wow! Even with the knowledge of the demons she had battled throughout the years this literally seemed to come out of no where. I was a fan of her back in the 90s and believe that she did more for women wrestlers in the Attitude Era than she will ever get credit for. Always hoped that she would beat her demons and at least make amends with WWE, but sadly that will now never happen.
Rest in peace Chyna.

I really wanted her to recover, return to the company and just have a great life from then on out but, wow. Sad. Depressing.
RIP Chyna.

I legit have a lot of sympathy for Paul Levesque. She started going downhill after they broke up and he's probably gonna feel a bit of guilt for this. In all frankness, I don't think he should at least given the miniscule amount of info that we know factually about their relationship. She definitely started disintegrating at that time, but more than a few people have had failed relationships and bounced back. For whatever reason, she never seemed to find (true) success post WWE and it undoubtedly ate at her as it does most anybody who are in the limelight and then suddenly out of it. I'm personally curious about what Waltman may say.

Kind of rambley, but this suuuuucks. I think some of it was seeing Scott Hall and Jake Roberts making a lot of improvements, even if it hasn't been a straight path to wellness, it helped show it wasn't impossible. That said, it doesn't always work out, so even when it's not shocking, it can still sting a lot.

Shame that her demons won out in the end.

It's a damn shame that things turned out the way they have. Hopefully history will choose to spotlight her positive contributions to wrestling as one of the Attitude Era's top stars, male or female, and not the sadness that was most of her life after WWE.

...shit. This is one of those times where it's not entirely surprising, but you really wish it was... not that you want someone to spontaneously drop dead, of course, but...
My condolences to her friends and family.

I'm going to say this and then dropping the subject because I don't want to threadjack this. From a PR stand point WWE has to say something sooner then later. Even if its just a tweet from their official account. Yes they were at odds. Yes she and the companies #2 had a difficult relationship. But when a star from the era that you promote more then any other dies you can't ignore it. Ignoring it is the kind of thing a family run, "You f'd with me, you're dead to me" mob mentality small business would have. Putting personal matters aside and doing the right thing for PR is what a major international entertainment brand would do. Lets see what WWE does.

This talk about her "demons winning" is very premature and kinda eerie. It is far too early to tell....,
Rest easy Chyna.

Since this aspect hasn't been mentioned... I think it's too bad that more people didn't see her New Japan run. She had really improved in the ring. She broke barriers there too as she wrestled men and got to work the Tokyo Dome. Until recently with Maria Kanellis and Amber Gallows, she was the last woman to ever wrestle in New Japan Wrestling.

Its also past 12 on a Thursday and the large majority of the company proper are touring Europe. Had this news broken at noon we'd have likely have had mention from them already. I don't disagree with where you're coming from if nothing was said, but give it some time. They will acknowledge her passing and likely pay her some sort of tribute, even if minimal. Just to compare/contrast, she did work for TNA for a short period of time and nothing has been mentioned on that front yet either. Even bringing it up at this time is a bit OTT and kneejerk. EDIT: And now Steph has.

This is truly a shame, she really had been battling a ton of things for awhile it seemed...
I wonder if this makes "Google History" more of a moot point for a possible Hall of Fame induction next year, I know that may be a stretch but hey, never say never in wrestling...

To say I'm surprised that she was the first to mention it would be a bit of an understatement. I'm not surprised it wasn't HHH, but I understand why not considering hes on the tour. Steph probably is not. Better Steph than just a no name WWE social media person doing it.

Really not important right now, but I'll point out that Stephanie had made a tweet about working out and many on Twitter responded negatively to her. She deleted that tweet and then made the tweet about Chyna.

Damn... I had hoped that she was starting to pull her life together a bit because I hadn't heard her name come up lately. Some time away from the spotlight can sometimes help people get their focus together and their feet on the ground...
I hope she has found peace, she deserves it.
Condolences to her family and friends.
