Let's face it, this acknowledging of Chyna is probably short lived to give off good PR, she will hardly get the same treatment as Warrior and others.
I have a feeling WWE will try to create someone to trump Chyna's successes and influence, I can already see Nia Jax beating Kalisto for the Intercontinental title, Charlotte if they turn her into a Medusa type, or even Paige if they went full psycho with her. They've already had Beth Phoenix and Kharma in rumbles, in the feminism age is it only a matter of time before they make a new Chyna?
Wanted to keep this separate from the RIP thread because it's not tribute related.

I think if they were going to, they'd have done it already in the 15 years since Chyna left WWE.
I'd rather they have the best women's wrestling has to offer, wrestlers of all sizes, in the revamped women's division.

They can try, but I don't think it will work. What made Chyna believable wasn't just booking. She just had IT. You really believed she could hold her own against any man on the roster. If they did it now it would come off as a pale imitation and I think the crowd would see it for what it was pretty quick.

Beth Phoenix probably had the most potential to follow her as far as wrestling men and winning an IC title goes. She even got a spot in the Royal Rumble. I think they intended to do that with Nicole Bass but people never warmed up to her. There was only one Chyna. WWE recycles too many ideas already. I don't see it happening any time soon.

A lot of countries TV will censor anything in WWE that can be classed as male on female violence and I suspect a few other stakeholders would be against such a trend too.
So that's almost certainly a no.

So that's almost certainly a no. Sponsors are against it too, so yeah save for one off things like Beth/Kharma in the Royal Rumble, intergender stuff isn't happening. (Hell in the video games if a male wrestler accidentally hits a female it's an automatic disqualification.)

This question assumes you think they haven't had similar characters or people in similar roles over the years.

No. They sacrificed the IC belt, Jeff Jarrett and set back Chris Jericho's career to 'make' Chyna, those days are over.

To create a new Chyna they would have to be willing to let that person compete against guys, and thats not going to happen in this PG era. Men vs Women is a no-no, can anyone even remember the last time we even had a mixed tag team match? Lana/Summer were going too, but that was pulled. Before that your going back about 3 years im sure of it

They kinda tried this with Beth, and I'm assuming they were going to try this with Karma.

I agree with the sentiment that Beth Phoenix already was, and also the idea that Nia Jax (even though she hasn't totally won me over yet) may be the next.

As far as womens wrestling goes Chyna id a blimp of a much larger more talented pool of women. She is known only because she was around during the attitude era. She never would have worked in any other era. Even in her "class" of performers shes third best.
The fimmick of a strong woman beating men up is so 90's.
The horse women and womens wrestling revolution will do great things on their own without the need to erase Chyna.
Her demise was no different than many men who came and gone from wrestling.

Even if not for the logistic issues of the fact they wouldn't be able to do it without backlash, I don't think they even should. Keep revamping the women and try to make them seem as important as the men do by being excellent in their own division, and maybe even aim to create a star in the women's division who is notable for being good at fighting other women, rather than turning her into a novelty who fights men. Chyna was a product of her time, but nowadays, WWE should focus more on trying to make a star more in the vein of Serena Williams or Ronda Rousey.

Even if you assume that WWE could get away with intergender matches or men vs. women in any way on their programming right now- which it's clear they can't- Chyna would STILL be a dinosaur in the modern era of wrestling.
Chyna worked and could fight the men not because of anything she could do in the ring, and more because Chyna was a novelty act and a really jacked bodybuilder woman who looked like she was as big as the men, with a "freakshow" aspect to her intergender work.
By contrast now- if intergender matches happen, the woman wrestler's look means absolutely nothing to the people watching the match. If a fan is willing to accept intergender matches happening, then that fan will also accept seeing the woman have a chance solely based on the woman's in-ring ability and talent and not based on her being really big, really fat, or really jacked.
WWE doesn't need to create a new Chyna type not just because they can't do intergender, but also because the fans who WOULD want intergender would be perfectly willing to go with it if one of the Horsewomen, Paige, or Emma were to decide they wanted to fight the men just due to those women's talent.
