I know that the tag division is going strong with actual tag teams that aren't singles guys with nothing to do, but these two guys are so damn entertaining that I'd love to see them get an actual run or at least a tag title feud with The New Day. I mean, there's this gem from Smackdown and there is the Canadian connection.

As popular as New Day are, Kevin Owens is above the tag division.

Yeah, I'd be down for a brief tag run for them. They're knocking it out of the park at the minute.

Yeah, no. They may have chemistry but the tag scene won't benefit from that pairing, it'll be a step back to the days where <upper midcarder> and <former main eventer> ran roughshod over any and all full time teams. It's not about being above that slot, it's about trying to keep the entire card over.

As popular as New Day are, Kevin Owens is above the tag division. This reminds me of Kane & Mankind vs New Age Outlaws in mid-1998 where the 2 main event heels were always portrayed as superior, won the titles from the massively popular NAO who had a stronghold on the belts for quite some time, but in the end NAO somehow got the titles back (well they beat Mankind in a handicap match at Summerslam) All parties involved benefitted alot from this feud Therefore do it! New Day vs Y2KO!!

Or it's likely to be like previous tag reigns featuring people that high up the card, where they go over established teams for 3-4 months, then lose the belt in a triple threat without being pinned, leaving no-one better off than they were, not the uppercarders and certainly not the teams they beat.

I don't want to see them become a full time tag team (both are above that right now) but I definitely want to see them continue to have some sort of alliance

I agree, but first thing's first: you can just delete the word "JeriKO" from the title of the thread, and I would be ecstatic just for that. WWE is the only fed I've ever seen that doesn't know how to do actual tag team wrestling. It's a staple of wrestling, but it's done so so so horribly in this company.
