The abject desperation. The cheapness. The quickness to temper when challenged in any way. The patheticness. The delusions of grandeur. The silent loathing bubbling just under the surface. Ladies and gentlemen, TNA is the real life corporate embodiment of... {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}

I thought TNA was certainly {Spoiler}{Spoiler} I can totally get behind this, actually. The utter refusal to listen to advice or learn from mistakes. Having millions of dollars mysteriously at their disposal, despite displaying no common sense, much less business sense, at all. The poor treatment of an increasingly disgruntled production staff, including compensation issues. Unsafe working conditions with little regard for the health and well-being of performers. Wasting money on frivolities while people are behind on their salaries. Having a lot of turnover as people leave in the middle of a storyline to pursue better pay and better career opportunities, which the leadership responds to by throwing a hissy fit and being petty, all the while allowing the absence of those who left to be very conspicuous in the final product. The ability to not only fail, but to fail spectacularly and captivatingly at every turn, in an attempt to produce an entertainment product. Being led by a person who is clearly making the product a vanity project meant to elevate him/herself alone. The large body of fans who are mainly laughing at it, not with it. This comparison totally works.

Ever since Spike dumped them, the past two years have basically been them flailing around aimlessly and clumsily destroying their own property after being "betrayed" by their longtime partner. We're in the "Why, Spike, why why!!!! ?" phase. The script may be drawn out, but it's on course. I wonder if we've seen the "humping the red dress" equivalent yet, or if it's yet to come.
