They don't like Reigns? I figured he'd be high on a kid's list since he's like some Samoan Superman. Also funny that your stepson and stepdaughter like Baylor and Bayley. Like the name changed for the genders lol.

That and I think they're persuaded by the crowds. Crowd boos him, so he's a bad guy. Now that he's playing it cocky my stepson flatout hates him, like SERIOUSLY hates him, which is the opposite of me because I like Roman more now than I did before. |

I don't have kids, but I went to a house show with my brother, his friend, and his friend's nephew last summer, and the nephew liked Cena, Reigns, Lesnar, Ambrose, and I think Rollins

It's so easy to forget that the kids are a big part of the audience, especially merch-wise (parents tend to buy things for their kids that they kids want).
Seeing the Luchas mentioned makes complete sense, but most smark/IWC adults would rather see them showered with battery acid. It's like the Bushwackers in the 1980s, kids loved them and they were just part of the show. Now there's outright hostility in some cases against things that are popular with children.

Roomies 8 year old thinks Roman Reigns is the COOLEST and the STRONGEST, but I don't think any real wrestler is on his mind all the time? More of a passing interest.

I have teens. My daughter just makes goofy comments, like how Kalisto looked like a chicken last night.
My son doesn't have a favorite unless they make him laugh. So he likes the Realest Guys In The Room (how you doin'?)

What I'm interested in regarding this thread are the fans who are transitioning from kids to teenagers. Around that time their opinions usually change so I wonder how some might feel about Cena for example these days compared to as a kid.

I took my little niece to a house show last year and she loved Ambrose, the Lucha Dragons, and El Torito. Also a big fan of the Women's Division.

My son is 12 and a casual fan. He will watch with me sometimes and other times just wants to play Mine Crack. He has always liked Undertaker and Cena. But lately, he really likes Balor. As he told me after watching the last Takeover, "That's my guy."

My 11 year old son watched the Edge & Christian show on Sunday and following that wanted to see them wrestle so I played the TLC matches for him. Weird seeing him mark out over matches that are 15 years old.

A guy I work with, his kids loved the Usos. Haven't talked to him in a while, so don't know if that's changed, but they both loved them.

Some of the kids I teach watch wrestling, 2 boys and 1 girl so we talk about it a fair bit and I know their favourites. They're young so are big into cheering the heels and booing the faces.
