This movie was too damn good. I'll be posting a full review for the site later.

One of my favorite MCU films by far and worth every penny of the £5 I spent on my ticket (Thank you Vue Cinemas!!!) so much that I would have happily paid to watch it again straight away had I not been pressed for time
Visually, much like Doctor Strange, its a stunning film and every character shines from the main man himself to Killmonger to M'Baku to all the ladies and it's testament to their acting qualities that the only two main Caucasian actors, who both are English, can play a foreigner to near perfection (Martin Freeman's American accent got a bit ropey at times but Andy Serkis nailed the South African accent again like in Civil War). Also nice seeing Forest Whitaker in an aging master role again like his turn as Jyn's old guardian Saw in Rogue One
The credit scenes didn't really do much for me personally but as always I got a grin at seeing Stan the Man's latest cameo, cannot wait to see where and how he pops up in both IW and Deadpool 2

I was unaware I follow Oprah on Twitter. Anyway, she just tweeted that she thought the film was, much like AJ Styles, "phenomenal" The credit scenes didn't really do much for me personally but as always I got a grin at seeing Stan the Man's latest cameo, cannot wait to see where and how he pops up in both IW and Deadpool 2 I really wish his cameo in GotGV2 was used for Infinity War. The culmination of the MCU would have been an appropriate time to reveal/imply that he is indeed Uatu.

M'Baku may've been my favorite character. All of em were great, but he stood out; particularly given how Man-Ape was one note as hell in the books most of the time. some more M'Baku in the MCU to come ![](https://superbromovies.files.wordpress.com/2017/11/unnamed-18.jpg)

I'd say a big tentpole superhero movie where everyone but one of the villains and the comic relief was a black person and it's set almost entirely in Africa and wears its racial and sexual politics on its sleeve to this degree was inherently a big enough risk on its own. Regarding the comic relief/humor in the film. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} I'm not even sure Ross is the comic relief. Most the humor involved Shuri and that came off as wittiness rather than outright comedy.
The only other comedy/humor I can think of is when Nakia was still in the driver's seat after the car was destroyed and Okoye was complaining about wearing a wig, which she later used as a weapon.
Side note, but my crowd cheered hard for one of the gags {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler} At the end, when Shuri referenced Coachella. We're in the Coachella Valley, where it takes place, and we loved the local reference. Crowd I saw it with laughed out loud for one bit. Let me just ask you one question: {Spoiler} WHAT ARE THOOOOSSSSEEEE?!!!!

Really enjoyed it. I think there are a handful of MCU films I loved more, but still, BP is one of the better ones.
It's so visually stylish and vibrant, I loved how we get two different flavours of villain (Serkis was so entertaining, Jordan so intense and understandable) and frankly I thought Shuri stole the show. She's very Q-like, isn't she?

A bit disappointing to me, honestly, which is a shame because I friggin' LOVE the character in the comic books. But, in terms of plot, it was way to close to previous territory for me. It's this mishmash of Thor and Iron Man, except T'Challa doesn't have any character flaws that made the other two interesting.
He can be really arrogant and off putting in the comics in a way that makes him super interesting, because he still has that heart of gold and wants to help his people. He's just too goddamn friendly in the movie.
And don't get me started on Shuri. Yeesh.
Boldest creative decision they made was making the most problematic parts of their premise the entire conflict of the movie though. That took guts.

I could easily see T'challa and co being the linchpin for whatever the MCU becomes once RDJ is through being Iron Man, Evans hangs up the shield etc. Like Panther as lead of the Avengers etc.

You know they've been hamming it up off screen in Wakanda.

It seems to be working for them. Never said it wasn't. Hell, they've got my money. Watched every MCU release in theatres except for Spider-Man, but if ever there was a movie where they could afford to take a little more risk, it was this one. [ That’s true.

Maybe we get the Ultimates (the team that Panther and Captain Marvel were a part of, not the "Do you think this letter on my head stands for France" team) in Phase 4.

Really liked it. Don't know if it's really a flaw, but I thought the supporting cast stole the movie out from Boseman. Had some great action scenes, all the characters had strong motivations for their actions, the humor was well-timed and not at all in "Jokey Marvel" style a lot of people disdain. Just a solid piece.

I think this film has the best supporting cast and villains ensemble of the 18 MCU films.

Having not liked most of the MCU since Age of Ultron's disappointing outing, I gotta say, I loved this film. The characters were awesome, I want to live in Wakanda, and I'm still hoping I'll look like Michael B. Jordan one day.
