I suppose there's something to be said about when a company that can do no wrong does wrong (see, Iron Fist, Inhumans), but this may be the first news to come out about Black Panther that doesn't excite me.

I mean it's especially a bit confusing as they show something close to Kilmonger's comic book mask in one of the trailers.

There's no guarantee that Killmonger the movie character will look like Killmonger the toy. Sometimes the toys look like the movies, other times they don't. The Ares build-a-figure from the Wonder Woman Multiverse series, for example, was designed on concept art, not how he looks in the movie.

Marvel's doing a prelude comic for Black Panther leading up to the movie. Have they done that for their other films?

About Kilmonger: {Spoiler}That suit may be a false-flag operation to get Wakanda into a international incident.

This looks surprisingly good considering the production company. The CG still looks half-baked and some of the action (mostly the CG stuff) looks hokey as all get out, but other than that I'm liking it. The non-cg action stuff appears to be pretty practical and a lot of it takes place at night - which is a nice change of pace too. I really like the design of the cities/costumes/etc. It's got a bit of Fifth Element/cyberpunk mixed in with Coogler's vision for it.
The sequence where Jordan busts out Serkis looks like some early Michael Mann stuff, which is very cool.
Also - Jordan and Boseman. FIGHT FOR-EVER **clap clap clap-clap-clap** FIGHT FOR-EVER **clap clap clap-clap-clap**

Andy Serkis is the most vicious looking man to ever wear a sweater vest.

Looks good. Didn't get me as hyped as the first trailer, which was really well put together. I kind of wish they didn't put Killmonger in a panther suit, if only because in too many Marvel movies we get the hero fighting his 'dark reflection'.

I hadn't really thought about it til looking at the poster, but that is one damn good cast Mind you, the poster doesn't even include John Kani (T'Chaka) or Florence Kasumba (Ayo) from Civil War, or even Emmy-award winner Sterling K. Brown. This cast is damn solid, even by Marvel's standards, and they got Robert Redford of all people to play a villain, and the first villain of his long career, at that.
