Hiddleston, to me, doesn't seem physically imposing enough for the role. I'm not sure I'd buy him in a fistfight. He could pull an Edward Norton in American History X and bulk up. Like he nearly got the role of Thor when he auditioned for it and bulked up for the audition. Anyways I'm sure Michael Fassbender is sick of doing franchises but he would be a great choice. I wish Clive Owen got the role instead of Daniel Craig

Some of the older Bonds weren't that bulky either, specifically Dalton and Brosnan. I could see him being more along those lines.

Hulkster was supposed to get the role the last time, but he missed the call, brother. The producers had to call that spoon Daniel Craig, jack!

f*** it. They should just throw the equivalent to Fort Knox to Sean Connery to have him come back for the final Bond movie and kill the character off. Then in 10 years start the franchise all over again

I still want Dalton or Connery to be a Bond villain Pretty sure they played with that idea for one of Craigs films but thought Connerys presence would take the audience out.

I'd rather he take the mantle from Jackman and be our next Wolverine.

Yeah, the Craig films were a little too serious to play with that kind of nod to the past. It would've fit in a Moore movie perfectly. Hell, in Never Say Never Again there was a supposed to be a scene where Connery bumps into a man in the street, who was to be played by Roger Moore.

Fassbender would be a really good pick but he'd be my second option after Ejiofor. Hardy would be third.
If they went with a female 007 Blunt would be my first choice, but she'd make a good M also.

I don't see any reason why they couldn't start up a Bond spinoff series featuring a female 00 agent. It's not like 007 is the only agent MI-6 have.

I know he probably costs as much as Daniel Craig but Christian Bale would work well

I must be in the minority.
I don't see Hiddeston as Bond at all.
Not one bit.
James Bond is a character supposed to be in his mid 40s, he supposed to be a guy that looks like he has age and wear & tear. Hiddleston has none of that.
People wanting a Bond younger, being hot & sexy? Then make him a different character, because then it's not "007". You're just turning James Bond into Doctor Who, where you just go old to young to old to young, and back and forth for really no reason.
