Hey, folks,
I'm trying to unload some toys and I'm looking for advice on how to go about that. I have a collection of Transformers, Dragon Ball Z and other random action figures. I know ebay is an option, but I'd rather get rid of everything right away instead of waiting for someone to make a bid.
Can anyone recommend a good site or location to sell my stuff?

There are message boards with marketplace board where you can sell whole collections like rangerboard. Transformers, DBZ problem have similar message boards where you can unload your collection to someone.

Buy a van for storage and ask kids from your city if they want to check some toys. The police may come by,try to sell to then too.

Some of those sites require a certain post count before you can access them though, one I use will only let you do that if you have minimum 50 posts

Craigslist, BUT be careful. When I sold my figure collection years ago, I did it through CL, and found a great guy that bought pretty much all of it. However, years later, I tried selling some other stuff on there, and ended up getting burglarized due to it. Have to be real, real careful how you set up meeting places/times on there.

I know it seems obvious, but seriously, eBay. Just have a minimum bid set for the lowest you are willing to part with each one for.
Oh, and while selling them as a lot may be quicker and easier, selling them individually will more often than not be more profitable.
Former Transformers and G.I. Joe collector here.

EBay, but use the "Buy it Now" feature where you just put up a set price and anyone who wants it can only get it if they are willing to pay that set price. If you just want to unload them and are not that concerned about the profit, then use 'Buy it Now' but give buyers the option to make a counter offer.
I'm not a fan of selling with auctions either, but I've had much more success with fixed prices.

I'm generally familiar with ebay, but what got my attention was how much things were selling on Amazon. I'm trying to understand how prices are determined on Amazon. I know there's a difference between being an individual seller and a professional seller, but I'm not sure if the advertised prices are based on either group.
Basically, I'm trying to sell my collection of Transformers from the 2007 Michael Bay movie (I bought every damn character, and they're all in their boxes). And they're selling for much more on Amazon than Ebay, and I'm curious why. Is it simply because the professional sellers are upping their prices, whereas individuals on ebay don't care how much money they make?

Are they selling for more on Amazon or is the asking price more on Amazon. BIG difference.
