I really hope this isn't the beginning of a long hiatus for me like in the '00, but it's begin the wrong way. Every week since Payback, I had a chance to watch Raw, but had something else I'd rather do, and so I'd let the week slip past without watching. And now, I just found out there was a PPV last night and had no idea.
I'm not being That Guy, and saying I'm not watching anymore, just somehow, lack of interest has made this month slip by unnoticed, because Raw feels like it's eating up 3 hours I'd rather use elsewhere. I'm thinking I'll start watching Superstars/Main Event or Smackdown, so I can see guys I like not jobbing and catch the highlights from Raw the put in there. That or start watching the Youtube followups, or This Week on the network.
And I'm not even sayin "It sucks now!" I have no idea. Am I missing anything good?

You sound as if you're in a similar position to me. I woke up this morning to a dozen notifications about last night's show but had no idea it was even on last night. I think the proximity to the last one (3 weeks) had an effect on my built in senses for these things but for the first time in 20 years I woke up this morning not even realising I'd missed a PPV the night before. Your Raw viewing habits sound similar to my recent ones too. I used to watch the live broadcast (at 2am) and then eventually started recording the live shows and watching the next day. Then I started to just read and watch the highlights and these last few weeks I've just read the results.
I too, am far from down on the product but am definitely in the camp that believes 3 hours of Raw is simply too much and is damaging the size of the fan base. For every exciting moment there's 2 1/2 hours of pedestrian, reheated segments and endless recaps as they simply have too much time to fill and not enough ideas to fill it. If I was still watching Raw I would have known the show was on last night and likely watched it. Not good.

I'm not sure I understand the point here. You don't watch Raw so you didn't find out about the PPV?
Of course you didn't. Why is this an issue?

Take a break if it doesn't engage you at the moment. Don't be the bitter fans who forces himself to watch and eventually comes to hate everything and bum everyone out trying to enjoy it.
Just disconnect completely for a few months and come back when you're refreshed. We'll save a seat for you.

I have a friend I've been watching the PPVS with for the past year who only watches the PPVS and catches up with the preshow. I may do this until at least the lead up month of Summerslam. Truthfully, I've been so busy with work, life, and non-wrestling interests, I haven't even come on here but a few times (or I'd have noticed the PPV). I'll change that even if I do take a break, because never-ending keeping up with the product through post, I just plain love the community. NXT is different entirely. I plan on catching up on the last few weeks I missed and keeping up there. As excited as I was by Nakamura showing up, I have no idea how I didn't make time for it.

I missed it due to my internet being down, aside from the ending however, seemed quite uneventful...

As someone who hasn't watched WWE since January, and hasn't watched Raw since September, maybe it's worth asking yourself if wrestling is something you still want to watch, that it's something of which you're still a fan? Not just WWE's version of wrestling, but wrestling full stop.
I got to the point where wrestling as a whole feels really behind the times compared to the other TV shows I watch, movies I go see, books I read, and other stuff. And the wrestling that does kind of look interesting, like Lucha Underground, I don't have easy or immediate access to, so why put that work into something that I might not enjoy when there's easier to get stuff out there that I know I like (or probably will like).
What you say gets at the biggest issue with WWE today: 3 hour Raws, 2 hour Smackdowns, 1 hour NXTs, and 3 hour PPVs every 3-4 weeks, when it's a lot of it is subpar at best and boring at worst, you want to invest your time elsewhere. I suggest you just read written recaps of shows to save yourself the time, and maybe check YouTube for the highlights if they catch you.

I'm glad I remembered there was a show. I paid decent money for the tickets!
To answer the question - yes, you're missing a lot of good things. No matter what, there is always good to go with the bad. Does that mean that you NEED to watch? No. Maybe you need some time away to appreciate the good and ignore some of the bad.
