Emma Watson would have made a better Ariel then Belle IMO.

I was struck by how much the Beast and all the castle inhabitants sounded almost exactly like their animated counterparts. If I didn't know Emma Thompson was playing her, I would have sworn that was the orginal Mrs. Potts.

I made my candlestick post as a joke. I didn't really think they were going to use talking candlesticks, clocks, and what have you in the live action version.

Something seems off with Beast's cgi, looks like a reject from Narnia.

If it's half as good as the Jungle Book live action movie that came out earlier this year, then I'm in on this one. The original is going to be hard to live up to though.

Ugh Emma Watson, I'll just watch the animated one. Why "ugh"? She's a good actress.

She's fine when she's not acting with her eyebrows.

I do like that with the trailers they're coming out saying "You know the story, you've seen the animated version, so no use trying to keep everything a secret. Here are glimpses of the scenes you loved, we're not going to f*** this up, trust us."

Dammit, Disney. I already told you I was sold on this. Hell, I even preordered the two Belle Funko Pops for this movie. WHAT MORE DO YOU WANT FROM ME?!!!

So, it's the exact same as the animated movie? I mean, cool, and glad there doesn't appear to be weird Maleficent bullshit. But... what's the point in making a less talented version beyond money?

They should add a twist ending where Emmabelle agrees to marry Gaston and has ten strapping boys!

The Jean Cocteau version (La Belle et La Bete) is fantastic, if you ever get a chance to watch it.
