So I had to go by the drugstore today to pick up a few things and I walked down the 'toy' aisle and noticed a section with (out-of-date) WWE action figures. I thought it was interesting so I decided to post about it. There were two types, a bunch of smaller ones and a couple of larger ones (can't recall the makes or models, I don't collect them so that stuff doesn't much register with me).
There were several of The Rock.
There were maybe two or three of Triple H.
There was one of the larger ones of Umaga (in my head I always pronounced that "You-mang-ah" like William Regal, so you can also call the above ones "Triple Haich" if you'd like, haha).
There were a handful of CM Punk (the smaller model).
At least one Batista (larger model, I'm pretty sure).
I think that's it.
I don't make any conclusions from this because for all I know they've been there for years and this is what's left, or they got them from a second-hand discount vendor. There's a store that I frequent that a few years ago had several odd out-of-date ones like Skip Sheffield that basically stayed there for 2-plus years and finally they disappeared one day.
I guess I'm bored, but I figured I'd pass it along.
EDIT: I also went to see X-Men Apocalypes last night and leaving the movie saw a guy with a KO shirt, and gave the guy a thumbs-up ... and one of the guys in our group who I had no idea watched WWE engaged me in a discussion about RR, AJ, misuse of Cody Rhodes, all kinds of little things. So maybe there's a slight upswing in interest in the product.

Mattel just put out a new Umaga figure, I have a collection that I really should get around to posting the pictures of but I keep adding to it so it feels outdated to me

My local Target has several "Bluetista" figures in stock. I'm seriously considering buying one.

My local Target has several "Bluetista" figures in stock. I'm seriously considering buying one. My most successful and liked thread was about me buying that figure and encourage others. I have a pretty decent collection of Elite figures now. I have a sickness. My Finn Balor is on the way, so is Xavier Woods with Francesca.

Larger Walgreens stores are home to a surprisingly good selection of collector-grade action figures. They've been known to be the best place to find Sami Zayn's extremely hard to find Elite figure, for example. They're also one of the few places that even stock World of Nintendo stuff outside of TRU.

I see out of date ones all the time in cheap discount stores where the stock has been passed from store to store, most recently seen a The Brian Kendrick with Zeke and some old circa 2009 HBKs and Jerichos in jeans and t-shirts.
Also remember getting a unopened Goldberg figure from WCW in like 2004 that had a literal jackhammer and a giant broken rock.

Speaking out out of date figures at drug stores, the Rite-Aid by my place of work has one WWE figure. It's a Nexus Wade Barrett figure. Such a rare figure to still have around. No telling how long it's been there. Perhaps I need to liberate it.

I told everyone this year at tax time, I broke down and bought the "Wyatt Family" Daniel Bryan I kept seeing with gas station coveralls. Saw it at Wal-Mart for a year, wanted to give it a good home.
He has a place of honor next to my Jakks classic British Bulldogs. (Only other "new" figure I have, the Mrs. bought me the elite JYD, who was one of my first WWF favorites.)

Smaller? Like these? I have never seen those! We're only sold in Dollar General and Family Dollar Stores. Were only about 3 1/2 inches tall. Prices were too high ($5-$6) and they discontinued them. Some can still be found on clearance racks at those stores. I only got about half of them. Rarest ones were Ryback, Ziggler, and Sin Cara.

There's a Walmart I go to now and again that still has a few CM Punk figures for sale. It always makes me giggle a little when I see it. I have about thirteen figures of my own, mostly newer figures but two Jakks ones my brother bought me when I was just getting into wrestling, haha.
