He really showed his growth tonight and had a very good match with AJ Styles. Obviously him and AJ go back a long way and you could see the chemistry between the two. The one thing I liked best was he showed great babyface fire for a guy who's portrayed as the bigmouth and hype man. If the brand split means Xavier has to put in a little more work in singles match i'm all for it.
What did you think of him tonight?

In before "he was facing the best wrestler in the roster" argument
Woods is very athletic and always makes me puzzled why they don't let him wrestle him often. The top rope dive he did few weeks ago was pretty cool.

I was surprised by his ring work. I still think he's best as a slimy annoying heel character, mainly as a manager.

He did show up, didn't he? So that was him afterall. I kept thinking it was Lamont from Sanford & Son. I was wondering why he, Bubba, and Rollo looked so young.

The top rope dive he did few weeks ago was pretty cool. But he WAS facing the best wrestler on the roster. Not taking anything away from Xavier, but keep in mind that the two of them go waaaaay back and already have a ton of in-ring chemistry. And yeah, Woods is pretty good. He always was. He was good as Consequences Creed, too.

On Smackdown, Xavier showed that he has the in ring skills to keep up with the best people on the roster and not have stick being the hypeman of the New Day most of the time. Woods displayed flashes of Austin Creed. Match did remind of a NWA Wildside fight which both got roots with.
