I got the box-set in a flash of inspiration after getting a bonus from work and seeing a friend mention it on Facebook.
Series 3 and 4 were my favourites, but the quality remains high up until the very end. Enjoy.
p.s. I just read your spoiler, and totally agree!

After finishing the show, I suggest you check out the spin-off Better Call Saul. It's more lighter toned than Breaking Bad, thought it's still just as good.

I was really sucked into the story line of Season 3 and 4. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}I really enjoyed the actor's work as Gus. His serious tone mixed with his attitude never being shaken really made his shock when he discovered the bomb that much more powerful. plus he even died like a champ After finishing the show, I suggest you check out the spin-off Better Call Saul. It's more lighter toned than Breaking Bad, thought it's still just as good. I've been thinking about it. I like the character on Breaking Bad but I don't know if I'd enjoy a series based around him. I'm not really into Law shows. What got me into Breaking Bad was I was told it was like a cross between Sopranos and Weeds. Although I feel that was a not very truthful portrait of the show. I got really into the relationship between Walter and Jesse. I was expecting a little more action after being told Walter was a badass. But I'm into the way he's only badass when absolutely needed. {Spoiler}{Spoiler}{Spoiler}I just finished the episode where they use the magnet truck to erase Gus's laptop

Better Call Saul isn't a law show, it's similar in that it's all about the characters. It does take a while to get going IMO but it's definitely worth checking out.

Better Call Saul is more of a slow burn. There's a lot less "action" than on Breaking Bad, but they delve even deeper into the characters.

Saul was such a great character on Breaking Bad but he might be then weakest character on his own show. Thank god for making it 50% him and 50% Mike or I would have tapped out a while ago.
It's starting to heat up though so I'm looking forward to the next season

I definitely enjoyed that show, but the lack of redeeming characters made it a real struggle for me to finish. The performances and writing were all great, but by the end I was like, "I don't even care about this guy's journey anymore."
Thankfully they kept Jesse around past s1, I could have stayed along for the ride without him.

Jesse is easily my favorite character and that line had me laughing, Along with "Gatorade me Bitch" I hate Skyler and her sister. Hank is someone I can't decide if I like or not. I do find it interesting that I technically find myself rooting for the bad guys.

I personally liked Hank - after the first episode I thought he was going to be self centred and arrogant, but he's got good values and promised to look after the Whites when Walt was diagnosed. On the DVD there's a series of random Web episodes, one of which is Hank and Marie's wedding. Hank is dressed like Boss Hogg which is reason to watch in itself! He tells Walt a great story about his stag do, but with an implied twist. No spoilers...!

A great example of a show knowing when to stop, since obviously, they could have milked another season or two easily if they liked, at the compromise of quality.
I will say it does worry me a little when some folks' takeaway is what a hero they think Walter is. Uhhhh...

I got 3 episodes left to go. {Spoiler} I'm a little upset that Walt ended up selling out Jesse to the White supremacists. But at the same time I'm super shocked Jesse told Hank everything. I didn't want Hank to die but I did see it coming as soon as he found out about Walt. Last episode I watched was When Walt called the DEA and ratted on himself, But left the bar by the time they got there. So I am very interested in seeing where the story goes in the next 3 episodes.

I can't say much due to potential spoilers, but in the first instance I thought he was doing the right thing by his family. However, his actions with Jen (Jesse's drug user girlfriend) and some of his speeches show otherwise.

I finally got around to watching the entire series this past year and it was so much better than I thought it would be. Great characters and a well paced storyline. I thought I'd be disappointed with all the hype surrounding it but I was pleasantly surprised. It gets very addicting around the second season and it doesn't let go. More shows should put that much thought into their character building and the stories they try to tell. Just an amazing show.

I just finished the show and I did not like the ending {Spoiler}They had spent so much time during the show talking about the money. To the point that the money almost became a character of it's own. And we have no idea what happened to it. With Walt dead are the people from Gray Matter going to give it to Walt Jr? What about all the money that Uncle Jack took? Are the DEA going to assume that was Walt's gun in the trunk of the car? or are they going to think someone else killed Jack's Gang and Walt? Will they think it was Jesse? And what the hell was with the pink bear in the pool?

Um, you are over thinking it way to much
1. they're going to give Walt Jr the money because they don't want to get shot 2. No one cares about the money Uncle Jack took, it's gone 3. The gun in the trunk? fingerprints, he's someone smart enough to rig something like that up, he's got the keys...oh, and he's Heisenberg, so who cares who shot them up, they've got the big fish 4. the bear was in a plane, that plane collided with another plane, and it landed in the pool. the end.
